Have you ever heard of “virtual travel” It means traveling to a place online without leaving your home. With virtual travel, you can visit famous places and wonders around the world on your computer or phone.
Virtual travel has many good points. First, it’s cheap. You don’t need to spend money on tickets, hotels or travel costs. Second, it’s easy and convenient. You can start your “trip” anytime you want. Third, it’s safe. You won’t have to worry about traffic accidents, bad weather, or getting lost in an unfamiliar place.
But virtual travel also has some bad points. You can’t feel the warm wind on your face, taste the delicious local food, or smell the fresh air of the place you’re “visiting”. What’s more, you can’t talk with local people face to face or experience their real life and culture. So it’s not as interesting and lively as real travel.
In my opinion, virtual travel is a great way to “visit” places you can’t go to right now. It helps you learn about different countries and cultures easily, which is good for opening your eyes. However, if you have the chance, real travel is still something that can’t be replaced. Walking on the streets of a foreign city, talking with local people, and tasting real local snacks can give you unforgettable experiences that virtual travel can’t provide. In short, virtual travel is a good helper for real travel. They can work together to help us explore the wonderful world better.

C.Both virtual and real travel. D.No travel at all.
69. What is the best title for the passage
A.The Advantages of Virtual Travel B.The Disadvantages of Real Travel
C.How to Experience Virtual Travel D.Virtual Travel: A Good Helper for Real Travel

Deyu wangquan, one of my favorite Chinese idioms(习语), means “catch the fish and then forget the net”. It comes from Zhuangzi, and the meaning of it is that you are used to getting help from others, but don’t show your thanks to them.
When I studied this idiom in the United States, I read traditional Chinese characters (汉字). The character for “fish” has four dots(点) at the bottom. But when today’s Chinese students study this idiom, they read simplified (简化的) characters. Now the character for “fish” only has a line at the bottom, which is easier to write. In fact, most Chinese people use simplified characters now.
However, some Chinese fear that if students overuse simplified Chinese characters, it may cause some cultural treasures to be lost. They suggest that schools should teach traditional characters. But the fact is that Chinese is already among the most difficult languages to read and write. To save time, perhaps students will still learn and use simplified characters. Meanwhile, traditional Chinese characters are valuable and should stay, too. You need to take some time to learn about them and the stories behind. In this way, you will help pass down Chinese culture and also have some fun.
70. Which kind of person can be described by the idiom deyu wangquan
A. Linda, who is warm-hearted and always ready to help others.
B. Cindy, who always forgets things and makes everything a mess.
C. John, who is interested in fishing but not very good at it.
D. Bob, who is successful but not thankful to those who helped him.
71. Which of the following is the traditional character for “fish” mentioned in the passage
A. B. C. D.
72. What is the main idea of the passage
A.Chinese history. B.Chinese idioms.
C.Chinese characters. D.Chinese teachers.

My Favorite Book
My name is Li Hui. My favorite book is The Little Prince written by the French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It is more than a children’s story but a profound book touching people of all ages.
The book tells the little prince’s journey across the universe. He leaves his small planet, visits other planets, and meets strange people. On Earth, he makes friends with a fox and a pilot, learning the true meaning of love and responsibility. I love it for its deep life insights, which teach me that true connection comes from care. Its simple, warm language cheers me up whenever I’m down.
Reading books enriches our imagination and helps us grow. I hope more students will read it and feel the power of classic literature.
