核心语法：由关系副词引导的限制性定语从句
1、定语从句也可以由关系副词(relative adverbs)when,where,why引导，关系副词在定语从句中作状语。如：
He enjoyed the four years when he studied in Suzhou.
That's the cinema where we often go and see films.
2、关系副词when引导的定语从句修饰time、moment、day、month、year、period等表示时间的先行项。如：
l often think of the moment when l first saw her.
I still remember the day when I entered junior high school.
3、关系副词where引导的定语从句修饰place、house、city、country、world等表示地点的先行项。如：
Is Shanghai the city where he was born
Mike wants to work in a country where there are a lot of forests.
4、关系副词why引导的定语从句修饰reason等表示原因的先行项。如：
Do you know the reason why the sky is blue
5、在正式场合，关系副词when、where、why可以用"介词+which"代替。如：
He will always remember the day when/on which he left his hometown.
The study is the place where/in which I often have talks with my father.

6.定语从句（关系副词）核心要点
（1）定义：关系副词在定语从句中作状语，代替先行词表示的时间、地点、原因，连接主句和从句，无需再用介词。
（2）重点关系副词用法：
- when：先行词是表示时间的名词（day, year, time等），在从句中作时间状语，可替换为“介词+which”（如on which, in which）；
- where：先行词是表示地点的名词（place, park, city等），在从句中作地点状语，可替换为“介词+which”（如in which, at which）；还可修饰抽象地点名词（case, situation等）；
- why：先行词是表示原因的名词（reason），在从句中作原因状语，可替换为“for which”，有时可用that（作关系副词）。
（3）关键区分：关系代词（who/which等）作主语、宾语；关系副词作状语，从句不缺主语、宾语。
