My twin brother, Jack, and I grew up going to American schools. Well, half a year ago, I was standing in my new home in Zhengzhou.
Teachers here are working so hard to teach us. Also, they try their best to help us and give us space to explore. That is the reason why we learn faster and better than most others. In just a few months, I have learned a lot of Chinese.
Last month my parents took Jack and me to Hangzhou by high-speed rail. It was a new, exciting experience for us. Clearly, it’s the easiest, safest and fastest way to travel around. Dad told me China has the longest high-speed rail network(网)in the world now. In Hangzhou, we visited Zhejiang University. It’s really great! Later, my parents took us to both Hong Kong and Macao. On the way, we saw the world’s longest cross-sea bridge, the Hongkong-zhuhai-macao Bridge. In many cities I find people choose to use shared bikes or shared cars to travel around. People all use their mobile phones to pay! And COVID-19 vaccines are free to all! Wherever I go, I can see people’s smiling faces. I wonder why everything is so amazing in China. The answer quickly comes to my mind: hard work pays off.
“Things are changing fast in China,” Mum said. “Everyone is working hard for a better future.”

The earth is full of plants. Since the moon is so close to our earth is there any possibility that plants can live in the moon soil
For many years, testing the moon soil has been the scientists’ dream. The chance finally came as the astronauts returning back from the moon, carrying some well protected moon soil to the lab.
After knowing what moon soil are made of, scientists also made some fake (仿制的) moon soil from the earth. They planted some seeds in the two kinds of soil and took good care of them, waiting to see what would happen. To their surprise, the seeds sprouted (发芽) and began to grow in both groups. But the plants in the real moon soil grew more slowly than those in the fake moon soil.
As a result, the moon soil may have something that is not suitable for plants’ growth. In order to solve the problem, choosing the soil from the younger geological (地质的) places on the moon and creating a more suitable growing environment for the plants may be a possible solution.
The research not only helps us study the nature of the moon soil, but also provides us with a chance to think about whether it is possible to plant on the moon and live on the moon. No matter how hard it is, we should have confidence in the development of technology and believe that good things are around the corner.
