In a small town, a new kind of “postman” has started to send letters and small packages. But this postman isn’t a person-it’s a drone (无人机). The drone, called “Sky Carrier”, was developed by a group of high school students led by 16-year-old Leo.
Before Sky Carrier, the town’s mail was slow. The post office was far, and bad weather often made the deliveries (递送) late. Leo’s grandmother, who lives alone, sometimes waited for weeks for her medicine. This gave Leo the idea to create a faster delivery method.
The drone can carry items up to 2 kilograms and fly to places within 10 kilometers. It uses GPS to find the exact address. To receive a package, people just need to put a special colored mat (垫子) in their yard. The drone detects the mat and lands safely.
Not everyone was happy at first. Some people worried about safety and noise. Leo and his team listened carefully. They added a quieter motor and made sure the drone always flew at a safe height. They also gave a report at the town meeting to explain how it worked. Slowly, people started to trust the drone. Now, many elderly people and busy families depend on it for important deliveries.

①In the quiet town of Xiangyang in Hubei Province, a group of students discovered the magic of nature in their own backyard.
②One day, they happened to walk in a small old garden behind their school. It was full of weeds (杂草) and dead plants. But instead of leaving it alone, they decided to bring it back to life. They spent their weekends clearing out the weeds, planting new flowers, and even building a small pond.
③Their hard work paid off quickly. Within weeks, butterflies began visiting the new flowers, and birds made nests in the trees. The students were especially excited when they discovered a special blue butterfly-one they had only read about in books. Their teacher explained that this meant the garden was becoming healthy again. The students felt a sense of pride and achievement.
④Soon other students and teachers joined in. They started a school club called “Green Guardians”, organizing environmental activities like planting trees, cleaning up local parks, and reducing plastic use. The garden became a living classroom, where students learned about biology, and the influence of human activities on nature. One of the students, Li Wei, said, “We didn’t realize how much power we had until we saw the garden come back to life.”

七、阅读表达(共 5小题,计 10分)
阅读短文,根据要求完成下面小题。
From red apples to yellow bananas and green watermelons, fruits come in many different colors. Why do different kinds of fruits have so many colors
Liu Wei, a scientist from China, explains that fruit colors actually come from their different pigments (色素). How many pigments appear depends on where they grow. Therefore, the environment plays an important role in fruit colors.
To find out how the environment influences fruit colors Chinese scientists studied more than 280 different fruit colors, including white, red, blue, purple and black. They found that red fruits prefer to grow in cooler places, while blue and purple fruits mostly grow in warm places.
Animals have also had an influence on the evolution (进化) of fruit colors. Animals eat fruits and later drop the seeds in other places. This helps the fruits spread and grow in different places. In order to catch animals’ attention, some fruits turn into colors that are easy for them to see.
However, animals see colors in a different way. Fruits need to develop colors that fit what animals can see. For example, birds can see red more easily than humans can. As a result, there are more red fruits in areas where birds live. Some monkeys are red-green color-blind, so yellow fruits can be found in their habitats (栖息地), as they can easily see this color.
