四、 任务型阅读。(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)★★
There is a big difference between knowing another country from social
media and experiencing it in person. This is what students from the USA and
China discovered during an eight-day exchange journey. From March 24 to
31, a group of 15 students from the USA went on an educational and
cultural exchange in China. For Ian Sierra, a 15-year-old 10th grader,
this was his first time going abroad. While in Beijing, Sierra bravely tried
douzhi, a fermented(发酵的) bean juice. It is a challenge even for
locals. However, he finished three bowls in a row. Besides Chinese food, Sierra also likes Chinese people because he thinks they are welcoming and open-minded.

“I tried out table tennis after classes ended, and the Chinese students
played like professionals,” he said. “In the United States, students
usually do sports through clubs and sports teams. Sports are more for fun
here.”
The learning was two-sided. Li Weiyou, a 15-year-old student from
Beijing No.4 High School International Campus and also Micheal Sosa’s
homestay partner, said, “Before I knew Micheal, I thought American
students paid more attention to personal development than schoolwork. But
to my surprise, Micheal does well in both.”

With technology and media developing quickly, teenagers can get
information about other countries online easily. However, online searches
show only a tiny part of the full story of cultural exchange. “If I hadn’t
taken this trip, I wouldn’t have learned about the high school life of
Chinese students,” said Ian Chan.
For Sierra, the trip even influenced his further aspirations(抱负).
“I used to consider becoming a math teacher in the United States. Now,
I’m dreaming about teaching English in Beijing or Shanghai in the near
future.”

根据短文内容,回答问题。(每题答案不超过5个词)
1. How long did the exchange journey last?

5. What do you think of their exchange journey?

请以“My way of travelling”为题,写一篇英

My way of travelling
Different ways of travelling may give us different feelings. I
choose

“in-person travel” because it allows me to experience
cultures deeply and create unforgettable memories.
First, travelling in person lets me feel the local atmosphere. For
example, last summer I visited Beijing. Walking through the ancient
hutongs, tasting street food, and talking with locals made me
understand Chinese traditions better.

Second, it’s a chance to escape daily routines. Climbing the Great Wall
taught me perseverance and rewarded me with breathtaking views.
Although “online tours” are convenient, nothing compares to the
real adventure. Travelling is not just about seeing. It’s about living the
moment.

There is a big difference between knowing another country from social media and experiencing it in person. This is what students from the USA and China discovered during an eight-day exchange journey. From March 24 to 31 , a group of 15 students from the USA went on an educational and
cultural exchange in China. For Ian Sierra , a 15-year-old 10th grader,
this was his first time going abroad. While in Beijing , Sierra bravely tried douzhi , a fermented(发酵的) bean juice. It is a challenge even for
locals. However , he finished three bowls in a row. Besides Chinese food , Sierra also likes Chinese people because he thinks they are
welcoming and open-minded.
4I tried out table tennis after classes ended , and the Chinese students played like professionals ,力 he said. 4In the United States , students
usually do sports through clubs and sports teams. Sports are more for fun here.力
The learning was two-sided. Li Weiyou , a 15-year-old student from Beijing No.4 High School International Campus and also Micheal Sosa’s
homestay partner , said , 4Before I knew Micheal , I thought American students paid more attention to personal development than schoolwork. But to my surprise , Micheal does well in both.力
With technology and media developing quickly , teenagers can get
information about other countries online easily. However , online searches show only a tiny part of the full story of cultural exchange. “If I hadn’t
