青海湖又名“措温布”，即藏语“青色的海”之意，位于青海省西北部的青海湖盆地内，既是中国最大的内陆湖泊，也是中国最大的咸水湖。由祁连山的大通山、日月山与青海南山之间的断层陷落形成。青海湖地处高原，在7、8月份日平均气温也只有15度左右，此时是青海湖最美之时，环湖千亩油菜花竞相绽放，碧波万顷的湛蓝外围散布着金灿灿的亮黄，高山牧场的野花五彩缤纷，如绸似锦，数不尽的牛羊膘肥体壮，点缀其间。

Located in Qinghai Province, the northwestern of China, the Qinghai Lake is one of the most amazing places to visit. It is the largest salt lake in China, covering 4,340 square kilometres.
If you visit Qinghai Lake, you can photograph wildlife, visit islands, ride a bike or horse. Qinghai Lake is more beautiful in summer. If you visit in July, you can see many beautiful birds and fields of blooming rape flowers.
