Mount Qomolangma is the highest mountain in the world, with an elevation(海拔) of about 8,848.86 meters. It is located on the border between China and Nepal. Qinghai Lake is the largest salt lake in China-its much larger than any other salt lake in our country. It covers an area of 4,349 square kilometres, which is bigger than many small cities.
It lies in Qinghai Province, on the Tibetan Plateau. The lake is home to more than 200 species of birds, like bar-headed geese and brown-headed gulls. It also has the rare naked carp, which can only live in this cold, high-altitude water.
People call it "a jewel of the Tibetan Plateau" because its blue waters and golden grasslands make it one of the most beautiful natural wonders in China. It's not just a lake-it's a precious home for wildlife and a peaceful for visitors.
