The Great Barrier Reef is one of the most famous natural wonders in the world. It's located in the Coral Sea, off the northeast coast of Australia. It's made up of more than 2,900 individual reefs and 900 islands, stretching for over 2,300 kilometres.
The Great Barrier Reef is famous for its beautiful coral reefs and all kinds of sea animals. There are more than 1,500 kinds of fish, 600 kinds of coral and many other sea animals like turtles and dolphins living there. However, the Great Barrier Reef is in danger now. Because of global warming and water pollution, a lot of coral has turned white and died.
