第一节 应用文写作
Dear Jack
I’m glad to receive your letter and understand that you’re facing some challenges in your
Chinese course. Don’t worry too much! Learning a new language always comes with difficulties at
the beginning, which is a common experience for everyone.
Here are some suggestions that I think will be helpful. Firstly, practice makes perfect. Try to use
Chinese as much as possible in daily life, such as by chatting with Chinese friends or watching
Chinese movies. Secondly, it’s a good idea to keep a vocabulary notebook where you can write down
new words and review them regularly. Remember, patience and persistence are key.
I believe that if you keep working hard, you will make great progress.
Yours,
Li Hua
第二节 (满分 25 分)
范文一
He decided to do something. He stood up, walked straight to the messy spot, and bent down to
help clean up the food on the floor. Lily looked at him in surprise and said thanks softly. Mark smiled
and nodded at him, glad for the extra hand. David felt his loneliness fade away as he worked with
them. After cleaning up, Mark invited him to sit with Lily and him for the rest of lunch. They talked
about math class and basketball, and David finally felt like he belonged at Oakwood High School.
范文二
He decided to do something. He quickly grabbed a handful of napkins(餐巾纸) from his table
and walked over to Lily and Mark. Without a word, he bent down to wipe the food off the floor, his
heart beating fast but his mind clear. Lily said "thank you" softly, and Mark clapped him on the
shoulder with a warm smile. After they finished cleaning, the three sat together. They chatted about
school and hobbies, and David’s loneliness was gone. He realized that courage to take the first step
was all it took to break the ice.
听力原文
1 W: What do you think we need to buy for our new kitchen
M: We’ve got a fridge and a dinner table already. We need some chairs.
2 M: I like to stay two nights, please.
W: Do you want full board or half board
M: What’s the difference
W: Full board includes all meals and half board includes just breakfast and dinner.
3 M: Shouldn’t we invite Cathy to the party tonight
W: Invite Cathy She is the one who is planning the whole thing.
4 M: Did you say you were driving to town this morning
W: Yes, I have to draw some money from the bank to pay my bookstore bills.
5 M: What are you working on so hard
W: An article for the newspaper. If I am late, it won’t get printed until next week.
6 M: Excuse me, I think you are in my seat.
W: Sorry, but it says 7A on my boarding card.
M: Oh uh, right, I asked for window seat, you see.
W: Yes, so did I, what’s your seat number
M: Let’s see, oh, it’s 8A.
W: So I guess you are in the seat behind me.
M: Oh, yes, sorry about that.
7 M: Can I help you
W: Yes, how much are these T-shirts
M: They are 12 dollars 50 cents each.
W: I like the green one, but it isn’t big enough. Have you got larger size
M: Just a minute. No, I am sorry, we haven’t. What about the black one
W: No, it is too dark, I prefer something lighter, yellow or pink
M: How about the pink one
W: That’s nice, I will take it.
M: That’s 12 dollars 50 cents then.
W: Here you are.
8 W: So how long have you been living in London
M: A couple of years. How long have you been working here
W: Only a few months. I moved down here for the job. There is no work for me where I came from.
M: Where did you come from then
W: I came from a small village called Arnside near Lancaster a year ago. There is nothing to do there,
so I moved to London.
M: Do you enjoy working here in this restaurant
W: Very much so.
9 M: I am sure you’ve noticed a lot of things that are different about our school.
W: Oh, yes, in the United States, we don’t have to carry a big school bag with us like you do.
M: Why is that
W: We have a locker of our own which is a small box with a lock. We keep textbooks and our
personal things in it. I just bring a day pack to school
M: A day pack
W: Yes, it is a small bag which you carry on your back.
M: What do you carry in it
W: My notebooks, or a few books for homework.
M: That’s convenient. Is there anything else you’ve noticed about our school
W: Yes, I am surprised that everyone is so silent in class.
M: What do you mean
W: Well, we usually ask questions about exams, homework or textbooks on the first day of the school
year. The teachers like such questions.
M: So you thought it different.
W: Yes, I expected to see a lot of discussions in class, because we learned that way in the United
States.
M: I see, that would be a good topic for our school newspaper for the first month of the term. Nice
talking with you. See you around. Bye.
W: Bye.
10 W: Good morning, everybody. Today for our writing class, we are glad to have Mr. Henry Stone
with us. A well-known writer in this country. He is going to share with us his writing experiences.
Now, Henry, please tell us how you find so many interesting things for your stories.
M: OK, I watch people a lot. I do that when I travel. I have been to many countries such as Britain,
Italy, and Sweden. So I spent a lot of time at the airports. While waiting for my flights, I watch people
passing by and start my imagination. For example, the other day when I was waiting for my flight to
Greece, I saw a couple. They were buying magazines at that moment. They were not wearing business
clothes, but the man was carrying a suitcase. Every few seconds, the women looked around. I
wondered if someone was following them. Perhaps they were running away and, you know, this
reminded me of a story in the newspaper that day: a banker stole one million pounds a week before
and disappeared with his wife. There was a picture of them in the paper. The couple really looked like
the thieves. Maybe I should stop them. Just then I saw them say goodbye to each other and the woman
walked away. Well, sometimes I make mistakes like that, but I find things like that very useful for my
writing.高一年级 3 月份月考

There’s an annoying potato chip bag half-buried in the earth. Each time I catch it
within my litter picker, another piece tears off. I keep trying until all the pieces are in my
bag. Then I move on.
Four years ago, I was deeply saddened about environmental and climate crises.
During an online meeting with a psychological counselor (心理咨询师), I even cried in
front of my computer screen, worrying about turtle doves, a bird most likely to die out
next in the U.K. It was he who guided me onto volunteering, giving me three rules: make
it simple, immediate and shared.
That’s how, a week later, I found myself in Victoria Park in Ashford, Kent, fishing
old carrier bags out of the river. I think that the best way to lift your spirits when you’re
feeling down is to do something nice for yourself. However, research suggests that
altruistic (利他的) acts work even better. I did not know this when I signed up with the
preservation group. Nor did I know that volunteering is related to greater self-respect,
4 / 11
better self-reported health and life satisfaction, or that helping others activates your
brain’s “reward” system.
I never minded if the tasks were tiring or repetitive; I was taking action. Every time I
volunteered, I came home brightened up by the fresh air, the natural environment and the
company — and, perhaps most of all, by acting in line with what I value. Sometimes I
still wonder: Are we really making a difference, or just making ourselves feel better
Then I remind myself of British author Isabel Losada’s words in The Joyful
Environmentalist: “Don’t be prevented by people saying your actions are just a drop in
the ocean. What’s an ocean except millions upon millions of drops ”
24. What can we learn about the author from the first two paragraphs
A. He was given to mental guidance. B. He was expert in picking rubbish.
C. He once was hopeless of the ecology. D. He was unwilling to volunteer at first.
25. What did the author realize after the activity in Victoria Park
A. Benefiting oneself brought happiness. B. The best reward lied in repetitive acts.
C. Volunteering was related to self-worth. D. The preservation group was well liked.
26. Why does the author refer to Isabel Losada
A. To stress the value of people. B. To encourage small kind acts.
C. To promote nature protection. D. To express the love for drops.
27. What can be a suitable title of the text
A. An act of self-respect B. One drop in the ocean
C. Three rules of volunteering D. A “reward” system in brain
C
It is generally believed that coffee relates to increased watchfulness and faster heart
rates, so people with atrial fibrillation (AF) — the most common irregular (不规则的)
heartbeat condition — are often told to avoid it. However, a new study suggests that
advice may need a rethink.
Researchers followed 200 people in the US, Canada, and Australia who were about
to go through an operation for AF. All were present or former coffee drinkers. Half
agreed to avoid coffee for six months; the other half agreed to drink at least one cup per
day. Across the six months, the researchers tracked AF recurrences (复发) lasting over
30 seconds. In the coffee-drinker group, 47 percent had suffered from AF, compared with
64 percent of those who didn’t.
“The results astounded us,” says Christopher Wong, a professor from the University
of Adelaide in Australia. “Unlike traditional wisdom, we found the coffee drinkers
5 / 11
experienced an obvious reduction in AF compared to those who avoided coffee and
caffeine (咖啡因).”
Lots of explanations for the finding are possible. We know coffee can improve
exercise performance, which could protect against AF. It also contains something acting
to help reduce high blood pressure, a risk factor for AF. While it doesn’t show the direct
cause and effect, the study adds some valuable evidence to the connection between coffee
and heart conditions. “It makes sense for health care professionals to let their AF patients
consider experimenting with caffeinated drinks that they may enjoy, such as caffeinated
tea and coffee,” says Marcus, a medical researcher from the University of California, San
Francisco.
This is the first attempt to look at the connection between caffeinated drinks and the
happening of AF. The researchers now want to look at the effects on those who weren’t
coffee drinkers to begin with, and how other caffeine drinks might have an influence.
28. How did the researchers make the finding
A. By explaining reasons. B. By undertaking comparisons.
C. By making interviews. D. By reviewing former studies.
29. What does the underlined word “astounded” probably mean in Paragraph 3
A. Shocked. B. Troubled. C. Discouraged. D. Uplifted.
30. What does Marcus think of recommending caffeinated drinks to AF patients
A. Impractical. B. Uncertain. C. Influential. D. Reasonable.
31. What may the researchers do in the future
A. Change measuring tools. B. Apply the latest findings. C. Broaden research subjects. D. Collect indirect evidences.
D
Shelter dogs often just sleep for the first week after they’re adopted (领养). Many
people wonder why. This is because, now safely away from the noise of the shelter, they
finally relax and fall into a deep sleep after their long watch.
Lots of us, so to speak, long to end up being watched, only nobody coming to take us
home. How are you supposed to feel it’s OK to rest your eyes when there’s always
another bill, another task to take
One small thing that can help is to move your thinking about self-care from activities
to feelings. The self-care industry often presents “rest” as a set of actions: a holiday, a
meditation (冥 思 ), a special kind of exercise. But no activity is recovery if you
experience no “rest” feelings while doing it. Activities help when they are ways to a
6 / 11
“rest” feeling, and it’s the feeling itself that matters. For example, quiet reading, meant to
make you feel calm, won’t be of much use if the stress follows throughout, or if what you
needed wasn’t to feel calm but to feel free.
In addition, naming the feeling we need in greater detail than we’re used to leads to
more effective rest. Not “I need not to feel burned out” but “I need to feel safe”. Then we
can look for ways to get those feelings that don’t require months of expensive leave.
Instead of the activity of “no screens”, we set the goal of feeling proud of something we
do. Instead of the activity of “long walk”, we feel the feeling of attending to my
surrounds.
Another strategy might be to cut corners you can. You’re clearly clever, energetic,
and capable. These qualities can turn every part of life into an opportunity to do well. But
in fact, it doesn’t have to be like this. You may clean irregularly when tired, or have
instant meals over busy time. For administrative (管理的) tasks, it will be fine to do it to
exactly the level at which they do not make your life worse, and then stop.
32. How does the author introduce the topic
A. By solving a doubt. B. By picturing a fact.
C. By raising a problem. D. By presenting a case.
33. What is the problem with the self-care industry according to the text
A. It ignores the “rest” feelings. B. It limits the range of actions. C It focuses on calm reading. D. It misleads us in exercises.
34. What does the author suggest in the last paragraph
A. Improving the quality of life. B. Lowering standards in cases.
C. Lazing around all the way. D. Reducing necessary work.
35. What is the structure of the text
A. B. C. D.

阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写一段,使之构成一个完整的故事。
10 / 11
David was new in town. It was his first day at Oakwood High School. During lunch,
he sat alone at a table in the corner of the dining hall, quietly eating his sandwich. He
watched groups of friends laughing and sharing stories, feeling a sharp loneliness in his
chest.
Suddenly, a loud crash rang out through the room. Lily, the girl from her math class,
tripped (绊倒) over a backpack, her plate flying into the air. Food flew everywhere —
on the floor, on tables, and worst of all, all over Mark, the tenth-grade basketball star.
And a large piece of chocolate cake was now sliding down his white shirt.
The hall fell silent for a second. Lily stood still, hands covering her mouth. She took
a step forward, then stopped, frightened. “I... I’m so sorry!” She stammered in a low
voice.
Mark looked down at his ruined shirt, his face turning red. Everyone expected Mark
to get angry. Instead, he took a deep breath. He picked a piece of carrot from his hair,
looked at it, and then glanced at Lily’s frightened eyes. A slow smile spread across his
face. “I guess today’s ‘Wear Your Lunch’ day, and I’m the best-dressed!” His voice was
loud enough for the nearby tables to hear. After removing the cake from his shirt, he
knelt (跪下) to clean up.Lily, much relieved, hurried over to join him in picking up the
mess.
David watched from his corner, sandwich forgotten, mixed feelings stirring inside
him. He thought of his own loneliness, Lily’s awkwardness, and Mark’s kindness. What
if he stopped hiding What if he stopped waiting for others to reach out Courage welled
slowly inside him.
注意:
1. 续写词数应为 100 个左右;
2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
He decided to do something.
