警察觉得那个人可疑。

(通常不这么说) The man was suspect. (语法可行,但很不常用,听起来不自然)
报告里的数据很可疑。
(对) The data in the report is suspicious/suspect. (两者均可,suspicious更口语化)
(对) They found suspect/suspicious data in the report. (两者均可作定语)
总结:当你想说“感到怀疑”时,只能用 suspicious。当你想说“可疑的”时,suspicious 更通用、更安全;而 suspect 作形容词时更正式,且几乎只作定语。
