(1)in order to do sth表示“为了做某事”,用以表示目的,此处的to do sth为动词不定式;
(2)in order to do sth的否定形式为in order not to do sth;
(3)后跟从句则用in order that,相当于so that;
(4)so as to do sth也用以表示目的,和in order to do sth的用法相同,否定形式为so as not to do sth。但so as(not)to do sth一般不放在句首。

as if/though引导方式状语从句。若从句描述的情况发生的可能性很大，则用陈述语气。否则，须用虚拟语气。
①当从句表示与现在事实相反的情况时，谓语动词用一般过去时(be动词一般用were)；
②当从句表示与过去事实相反的情况时，谓语动词用过去完成时(had＋过去分词)。
◎as if/though还可用在seem，look等系动词之后引导表语从句。
