The circle of goodwill
You start with goodwill. Then the goodwill is passed on to others. One day, others may give it back to you. This is called the circle of goodwill.

Jack was very poor. One day, he was preparing for a job interview, but his clothes were so old that he was worried about making a good impression. On the bus, he told a stranger, Ben, about his worry. Before Jack got off, Ben offered his tie and jacket to him. “You may need these more than I do,” Ben said. “Good luck!”
Jack was deeply touched. When he put them on, he looked smart and confident. He did very well in the interview and got the job.
Jack wanted to repay Ben, but he couldn’t find him. Years later, after becoming successful, Jack decided to help others. He offered smart clothes to job interviewees in need. His kindness helped many young people.
Jack’s story tells us that a small act of kindness can change someone’s life. If you help others, you may inspire them to help more people in the future.
