李时珍的《本草纲目》是当时最系统、最完整、最科学的一部医药学著作，不仅为中国药物学的发展作出了重大贡献，而且对世界医药学、植物学、动物学、矿物学、化学的发展也产生了深远的影响，被誉为“东方医药巨典”。英国著名生物学家达尔文称它为“中国古代百科全书”。李时珍亦被后世尊为“药圣”。另外，李时珍还著有《奇经八脉考》《濒湖脉学》《五脏图论》等医书。

2018年，美国数学教授撰写的《数学的力量：数学的反叛女性》(Power in Numbers)中，王贞仪作为第一位“先驱者”被介绍。
2019年《自然》(Nature) 网站把王贞仪列为“为科学发展奠定基础的女科学家”。
陨石坑命名
1994年，国际天文学联盟（IAU）为表彰王贞仪在天文学领域的卓越贡献，将金星上一个编号为6487，中心位置位于（13.20 °、217.80 °），直径23.40 km的陨石坑，用王贞仪的名字命名，以此来纪念这位18世纪伟大的中国天文学家、数学家。
