There is also a new shopping centre in my neighbourhood. It’s only three blocks from my house. It has a grocery store, a bank, a bookstore,
and a movie theatre.

Language Points
during：在…… 期间，后接名词/名词短语，不能接句子，表动作在某段时间内发生。
搭配：during the summer（在夏天）、during the holiday（在假期）...
freeze：v. 结冰；冻结，实义动词，本句取 “（水面）结冰” 含义；
不规则变形：原形 freeze → 过去式 froze → 过去分词 frozen
play hockey：打曲棍球，play+球类运动为固定搭配，不加任何冠词（a/an/the）。
During the winter, it freezes, and I can play hockey on it with my friends.
冬天结冰后，我可以和朋友们在上面打冰球。
for the whole afternoon： 一整个下午
whole：全部的；整个的，后接单数可数名词，且名词前需加定冠词the。
the whole+时间名词：整个……，同义替换：all the+时间名词。
