We explore nature to seek survival resources, gain technological inspiration, and most importantly, protect our only home-the Earth.
Mount Qomolangma is the highest mountain in the world, with an elevation(海拔) of about 8,848.86 meters. It is located on the border between China and Nepal. Many climbers dream of reaching its peak, but it is very challenging due to the harsh(严酷的) weather and thin air. It is also known as the "roof of the world" and is a symbol of nature's grandeur(壮丽).

Placing the national flag on the world's highest peak was a great honor for their country.
He meant that the mountain itself is a big enough reason to climb it. People climb it just for the challenge and adventure, not for other practical reasons. It shows the human spirit of exploration.
A good mountain climber needs courage, perseverance, strong body and mind, teamwork, and respect for nature.
