In a world where ever-changing high-end techniques are redefining the lifestyles of “Generation Z”, a game named Black Myth: Wukong, with its exquisite scenarios and Chinese culture genes, has brought about a mania among gaming enthusiasts worldwide.
Within 10 hours of its official release globally, the Triple-A game had over two million concurrent players on Steam. The unexpected success of the game, developed by a private Chinese company over six years, has allowed people to appreciate exotic Chinese traditional culture in addition to the fun and joy of playing the game.
Wukong, or Monkey King, is an iconic figure from Journey to the West—a Chinese classic novel dating back about 500 years. Back to the essence, just as Feng Ji, the game’s producer, said,
“The game is good enough in quality to attract games to soak into the Chinese god-evil story.” An ongoing hot discussion on Reddit’s online game community shows games are “hardworking” on every detail of the novel.
Games combining iconic cultural elements may be regarded as a form of cultural exchange. Indeed, enjoying the game could be a journey to experience the beauty of Chinese culture—its music, landscapes, architecture, clothes, or even folk tales. “Traditional culture is right there, and you’ll like it when you see it,” said the game’s art director, Yang Qi. “What we can do is to give people a closer look through the game.”
China’s abundance of well-preserved historical buildings offered the domestic game developer an innate advantage. Digitally scanning ancient buildings to present them in the game is more cost-saving and provides a better authentic experience.
Of course, a game is a game. China will always welcome travelers from around the world who want to explore and learn more about its profound culture.
As a Reddit user wrote, “I (American) have been waiting so long to have more Chinese influence in the Western game sphere. Chinese culture and mythology are rich. I hope we can get more stuff like this. Would love to go to China someday.”

A.It promotes exotic folk tales. B.It protects ancient buildings.

Climate change is causing more areas to turn into deserts. This issue is affecting the lives of 250 million people as land that used to be good for farming becomes dry and unproductive. Around one-third of the world’s land is impacted, including regions in Africa, southern Europe, Asia and America.
Sand to Green is a Moroccan company that can transform a patch of desert into a sustainable (可持续的) and profitable plantation in five years, according to Wissal Ben Moussa, its co-founder and chief agricultural officer. The solution is using agroforestry (农林业)to create a new kind of agriculture that is sustainable and that can be resilient (有适应力的) in front of climate change.
The system can be set up close to any source of salty water, which Sand to Green cleans using energy from the sun. It then grows different types of fruit trees and plants together in the same area—a method called mixed planting—and waters the plants’ roots directly with the cleaned water, to reduce water loss to the air. The soil is regenerated using what Sand to Green calls “green manure”, a mixture that includes compost, biochar(生物炭)and microorganisms that help the soil “wake up”. Biochar is a form of charcoal that can help dry soil hold on to water.
In a five-hectare trial in southern Morocco that’s been running since 2017, Sand to Green has tried out a variety of plants in search of the best performers. Among the inter cropping herbs (草本植物) that have been successfully trialed are rosemary, geranium, vetiver and citronella, which Ben Moussa describes as “very low-maintenance and very high-profit”.
Sand to Green is now working to scale up to a 20-hectare commercial site, also in southern Morocco. It says a site of that size would cost around $475,000 to set up and would start bringing financial returns in about five years.
According to Ben Moussa, with this system they create biodiversity, which means better soil, healthier crops and a bigger yield. The plantation can generate 1.5 times more yield, thus making more money than a farm that grows only one type of crop in the same space.
28.What phenomenon does the author describe in paragraph 1
A.Deforestation. B.Desertification.
C.Global warming. D.Urbanization.
29.Why did Sand to Green use agroforestry

A.It aims to plant more trees.
B.It earns a good reputation.
C.It develops new plants.
D.It produces good results.
31.What does the underlined phrase “scale up” mean in paragraph 5
A.Expand. B.Object. C.Refer. D.Prefer.

Kumar is ten years old and works with his father in New Delhi. Every morning, while carrying plastic bags on his shoulders, he runs into children walking to school, ashamed at not being in a school uniform like them. Kumar is one of India’s five million school dropouts. These are the children of villagers who moved to New Delhi but end up living in slums (贫民窟). Many of them, like Kumar’s father, can’t afford to send their children to school. Others are not able to provide birth certificates for their children, which are necessary for school admission.
However, two yellow buses -equipped as mobile schools with teaching materials such as books, whiteboard, pens and toys are helping them. They are part of the government’s project which started in 2003. The books and school bags are free. Every morning, the yellow bus mobile schools arrive near selected slums. “If the children can’t go to school, we have to take the school to them, to their doorstep,” said Sharma, a mobile school teacher. Sharma said that at first parents hesitated to send their children to the mobile school because they were afraid that their children would be cheated. It took the teachers a long time to build their confidence.
Financed by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) in India, the mobile schools project has helped reduce the number of dropouts from 25 million to 5 million. The children are proud because the mobile school comes specially for them. It has changed their lives and given them hope. After joining the bus school, eleven -year -old Meena is very happy with her new life. Although she is young, she understands that education is the key to escaping the poverty. So impressed by her progress, other mothers were convinced to let their daughters attend the mobile school.
The mobile school teachers provide children with primary education to get them up to the level and then they go on with their studies in public schools.

A study found, compared to other Mondays during the year, a 25 percent jump in the number of heart attacks occurs on Monday after DST starts. The total number of heart attacks didn’t change for the whole week, though. 37 It could be the combined stress of a typical back-to-work Monday.

High school students may be particularly vulnerable to DST-induced sleep loss, since their internal clocks make it difficult for them to shift their sleep patterns an hour earlier. Terrible headaches may strike.

第二节 (满分25分)
67.阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
Growing up, I often felt overshadowed by my elder sister, Becky. It was never her intention to outshine me, nor did she make any effort to do so. Yet, with Becky excelling effortlessly both academically and athletically, her accomplishments naturally drew everyone’s attention, while mine seemed to fade into the background. Being the younger brother of a sister who shone in every aspect of life was no small challenge. For years, I struggled to carve out my own identity under the glow of her brilliance.
The difference in our ability to swim was particularly remarkable. Becky was among the top swimmers in our province, collecting rewards with ease. But to me, the swimming pool held little appeal. As a child, I had developed a strong dislike for swimming after an uncomfortable incident where water rushed up my nose, leaving me coughing painfully for half an hour. Since then, I preferred skateboarding — that is, until life took an unexpected turn.
One afternoon, while practicing a new trick, I lost my balance and fell hard. The injury was very severe. At the hospital, the doctors delivered news that shook my world: I had broken my leg so badly that I could never return to skateboarding or any high-impact sports. Just as despair began to settle in, they offered a single, ironic lifeline — the very activity I had always avoided.
“Swimming,” one doctor said gently, “is the only exercise that will truly help you recover.”
Unwillingly, I decided to give it a try. The first days were terrifying. The memory of water entering my nose made my heart race. But Becky was there, patient and encouraging. She started by teaching me how to wear goggles properly and how to hold breath and stay calm under water. Little by little, under her guidance, I learned to control my breath and face my fear.
注意:1.续写词数应为150个左右;
2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
As the weeks passed, I began to notice changes, not only in my leg, but in my mindset.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
More importantly, swimming brought me closer to Becky.

67.【答案】As the weeks passed, I began to notice changes, not only in my leg, but in my mindset. My leg grew stronger with each lap, and the once-terrifying water gradually felt like a safe haven. I no longer flinched at the thought of submerging my head; instead, I found joy in gliding through the water smoothly. What surprised me most was that I started to set small goals for myself, like swimming 50 meters without stopping, and felt proud when I achieved them. For the first time, I had an accomplishment that wasn’t overshadowed by Becky’s, and it lit a new fire in me.
More importantly, swimming brought me closer to Becky. She wasn’t just the “star sister” anymore — she was my coach, my teammate, and my friend. We spent hours in the pool, laughing as I splashed clumsily and celebrating every tiny progress I made. She shared her swimming tips openly, never making me feel inferior. One evening after practice, she said softly, “I’m proud of how brave you are.” Those words erased years of feeling overlooked. Through swimming, I didn’t just heal my leg; I found my own light, and a deeper bond with the sister I’d always admired.
