Surviving an Earthquake
Last year, a terrible earthquake hit my hometown.
I was doing homework when I started feeling my desk shake. At first, it was weak. I shouted to my mom, “An earthquake was coming!” and hid under my desk. The shaking quickly became much stronger. I remembered we must stay away from windows and heavy objects. My heart beat fast with fear, but I stayed still.
