考点2 · 冠词（a/an, the, 零冠词）
冠词是中考英语每年必考的语法点，通常出现在单项选择、语法填空和短文改错中。近三年全国卷对冠词的考查集中在不定冠词表示泛指、定冠词表示特指、固定搭配中的冠词以及零冠词的使用。熟练掌握冠词用法，能迅速提升语篇填空的得分率。
一、冠词核心知识精讲 + 实例
1. 不定冠词 a / an 的用法
不定冠词表示“一个”，泛指某一类人或事物，或表示数量“一”。a用于以辅音音素开头的单词前，an用于以元音音素开头的单词前（注意：不是元音字母，而是元音音素）。
常见考点： a university (辅音/j/开头), an hour (元音/au/开头), an honest boy, a one-way street (辅音/w/开头), an 11-year-old girl (元音/i/开头)。
用法归纳：① 首次提及某人或某物：I saw a dog. ② 表示类别：A dog is a faithful animal. ③ 固定搭配：have a cold, have a good time, in a hurry, as a result, once a week。
2. 定冠词 the 的用法
定冠词表示特指，双方都知道的人或物，或上文提到过的事物。the也用于序数词、最高级、独一无二的事物、乐器名称、方位名词以及某些专有名词前。
典型用法：① Please close the window. (双方都知道) ② The sun rises in the east. (独一无二) ③ He is the tallest student. (最高级) ④ play the piano (乐器) ⑤ the United States, the Great Wall ⑥ the older of the two (两者中较老的)。
特殊：the + 形容词表示一类人 (the poor, the rich), the + 姓氏复数表示一家人 (the Smiths)。
3. 零冠词（不用冠词）的情况
零冠词指名词前不加任何冠词。常见于：复数名词或不可数名词表泛指、专有名词（人名、地名、国家名）、三餐、球类棋类、学科、语言、节日、星期月份、by + 交通工具等固定搭配。
高频零冠词：
have breakfast/lunch/dinner; play football/basketball/chess; go to school/hospital/church (表示功能); by bus/train/plane; in spring/summer; on Monday; learn English; Man needs water. 注意：表示职位头衔时零冠词：He was elected president.
对比： go to school (去上学) vs go to the school (去那所学校办事); in hospital (住院) vs in the hospital (在医院里)。
4. 冠词的特殊位置与固定短语
不定冠词在such/so/as/how/too修饰的形容词+名词结构中，a/an放在形容词后：such a beautiful day, too long a story, how nice a girl。固定搭配：all of a sudden, as a rule, once upon a time, a number of (许多) vs the number of (……的数量)。
中考命题聚焦：2025年多地中考在语法填空中考查了冠词在固定搭配中的用法（如in a hurry, have a fever），以及零冠词与定冠词的语境辨析。完形填空也常出现冠词逻辑题。务必通过大量语境练习强化语感。
