语法知识
一、suggest 的主要用法
建议、提议
可接名词或代词作宾语,表示 "建议某事 / 某人"。例如:He suggested a new plan.(他提出了一个新计划。)
可接动名词作宾语,表示 "建议做某事"。例如:She suggested going shopping this afternoon.(她建议今天下午去购物。)
可接 that 从句作宾语,此时从句谓语由 "(should)+ 动词原形" 构成,should 可以省略,表示 "建议......"。例如:He suggested that we (should) start early.(他建议我们应该早点出发。)
用于 "It is suggested that..." 结构,表示 "有人建议......",that 从句同样使用虚拟语气(should + 动词原形),should 可省略。
暗示、表明
主语往往是事物,而非人;可接名词或动名词作宾语,表示 "暗示 / 表明某事"。
接宾语从句时,从句使用陈述语气。例如:
The symptoms suggest a minor heart attack.(症状显示这是轻微心脏病发作。)
His smile suggested that he was happy with the news.(他的微笑暗示了他对这个消息感到高兴。)
All the evidence suggests that he stole the money.(所有证据都表明是他偷了钱。)

二、such as 和 for example 的区别
such as:一般用来列举同类人或物中的几个例子,通常位于被列举的例子和前面的名词之间,其后不用逗号,且列举事物的数量不能等于前面所提事物的总和。例如:I like fruits such as apples, bananas, and oranges.(我喜欢水果,比如苹果、香蕉和橙子。)
for example:一般只举同类人或物中的一个为例,作为插入语,可置于句首、句中或句末,且其后通常用逗号隔开。例如:For example, air is invisible.(例如,空气是看不见的。)
三、形容词与副词的比较级和最高级
构成方式
形容词与副词比较级的构成:
单音节形容词和副词:一般在词尾加 - er(tall--taller;fast--faster);以字母 e 结尾的,在词尾加 - r(fine--finer;late--later);以重读闭音节结尾,且末尾只有一个辅音字母时,先双写该辅音字母,再加 er(big--bigger;thin--thinner);少数单音节词(如 fun, glad)在词前加 more 构成比较级(fun--more fun)。
双音节词和多音节形容词和副词:部分双音节词或多音节词在词前加 more 构成比较级(important--more important;easily--more easily);以 "辅音字母 + y" 结尾的双音节词,先把 "y" 变为 "i",再加上 - er(heavy--heavier;pretty--prettier);以 ly 结尾的副词(除 early 外)加 more 构成比较级(slowly--more slowly;bravely--more bravely)。
形容词与副词最高级的构成:
单音节形容词和副词:一般在词尾加 - est(tall--tallest;fast--fastest);以字母 e 结尾的,在词尾加 - st(fine--finest;late--latest);以重读闭音节结尾,且末尾只有一个辅音字母时,先双写该辅音字母,再加 - est(big--biggest;thin--thinnest)。
双音节词和多音节形容词和副词:部分双音节词或多音节词在词前加 most 构成最高级(important--most important;easily--most easily);以 "辅音字母 + y" 结尾的双音节词,先把 "y" 变为 "i",再加上 - est(heavy--heaviest;pretty--prettiest)。
不规则变化:good--better--best;well--better--best;bad--worse--worst(需特殊记忆)。
比较级常用句型
as + 原级 + as:表示 "和...... 一样"。例如:Jim is as tall as Tom.(吉姆和汤姆一样高)
not as/so + 原级 + as:表示 "不如......"。例如:Jim is not as tall as Tom.(吉姆不如汤姆高)
比较级 + than:表示 "比............"。例如:My bag is bigger than yours.(我的包比你的大)
the + 比较级,the + 比较级:用于表示两个比较级之间的正比关系。例如:The more careful you are, the fewer mistakes you'll make.(你越仔细,犯的错误就越少)
比较级 + and + 比较级:用于描述某种程度或数量的逐渐增加。例如:He is faster and faster.(他越来越快)
A + 动词 + the + 比较级 + of the two:表示 A 是两者中较...... 的一个。例如:She is the taller of the two sisters.(她是两个姐妹中较高的一个)
a (n)+ 比较级 + 名词:用于描述一个比另一个更...... 的事物。例如:The story is not very interesting. I will tell you a more interesting one.(这个故事不太有趣,我会给你讲一个更有趣的故事)
最高级常用句型
主语 + be+the + 形容词最高级 (+ 单数名词)+in/of...:表示 "...... 在...... 中最......"。例如:Tom is the tallest in his class.(汤姆是他们班上最高的)
主语 + 实意动词 +(the)+ 副词最高级 + in/of...:表示 "...... 在...... 中最......"。例如:I jump (the) farthest in my class.(我是我们班跳得最远的)

否定比较级表最高级含义
基本结构:"否定词 + 比较级",常用否定词有 no、not、never、hardly、nothing、nobody 等,含义为 "再...... 也不过分;再没有比...... 更...... 的了"。例如:Nothing is easier than this.(这再容易不过了,即这是最容易的。);Your story is perfect; I've never heard a better one before.(你的故事太完美了,我之前从来没有听过比这更好的故事。)
其他相关结构:
否定词 + so + 形容词 / 副词原级 + as+(any other + 单数名词 /all the other + 复数名词)。例如:No one is so talented as Mary in our team.(在我们团队中,没有人比玛丽更有天赋。);No other books are so interesting as these ones.(没有其他书比这些书更有趣了。)

一、"of + 抽象名词" 结构
用法:表示人或物的特征,其用法与该抽象名词的形容词用法相同,可在句中作表语、定语、补足语。
作表语:用于说明主语的性质或特征。例如:The work I am doing is not of much value.(我做的工作没有多大价值。)
作定语:表示被修饰词的性质或特征。例如:It is of importance to keep calm in an emergency.(在紧急情况下保持冷静很重要。)
作补足语:用于进一步描述主语或宾语的状态。例如:I regard this as of great importance.(我认为这个具有重要意义。)
修饰词:抽象名词前常用 little, some, any, no, great, not much 等修饰,相当于该抽象名词的形容词形式。例如:of importance 相当于 important;of value 相当于 valuable。

二、award 与 reward 的区别
含义不同
award:主要指 "因表现突出而获得的奖状、奖品或资金",通常由官方或某组织机构根据规定颁发,强调官方奖励行为,用于鼓励成就或满足特定要求。
reward:指 "对有特殊贡献或付出额外劳动的人的补偿",可是物质或精神上的回馈,强调先付出后得到的回报或报酬。
使用语境不同
