Every afternoon after school, children played happily in the Giant’s(巨人的) garden. It was a lovely garden with soft green grass, and twelve peach trees full of pink and white flowers. Birds sang sweetly in the branches(树枝).
The Giant was away visiting a friend for seven years. When he came back, he saw children playing in his garden. “What are you doing here ” he shouted angrily. The children ran away in terror, as fast as they could. “My garden is my garden,” he said. “Only I can play here.” So he built a high wall around it and put up a sign.
After that, spring came everywhere, but in the Giant’s garden, it was still winter. Birds did not sing, and trees did not flower. Only the cold north wind and snow visited. The Giant felt sad. He

One morning, he heard a bird singing beautifully. He looked out and saw children coming through a small hole in the wall. They sat in the trees, and where each child sat, the tree grew many flowers. Birds flew and sang happily. Only in one corner was it still winter. There, a little boy cried because he was too small to climb a tree.
The Giant felt sorry. “How selfish(自私的)I was!” he said. “Now I understand.” He went down, gently helped the boy into the tree, and then knocked down the wall. “This garden is yours now, children,” he said. From that day, the garden was always full of children’s laughter, and spring stayed there forever.

①In real life, babies can’t drive cars, and your classmate’s face may not appear in a movie. But with deepfakes, these things are possible. Deepfakes are pictures or videos made by AI. They are fake (伪造的), but they look just like real ones.
②“It’s fun and creative to use deepfakes,” says Will Gardner, an expert on child online safety. “But they can be dangerous too.” Some deepfakes show people saying or doing things they never did. Others are used to spread lies, fake news, or trick people into giving away money or personal information.
③________________________ One famous fake from history is a photo of the Loch Ness Monster (怪物) in 1934. It actually showed a toy that moved underwater, with a scary sea monster’s head on the front. More recently, photos and videos can be faked using computer programmes and apps. Now, the new AI tools make it easier to create fakes.
④Although deepfake technology is improving quickly, there are still signs to check whether a photo or a video is fake or not. For example, in a video, if the person’s eyes never blink like real eyes do, or if their mouth movements don’t match the words they are saying, we can know something is wrong.
⑤What’s more, if you think a photo might be fake, try uploading (上传) it on the Internet to find out where it comes from. You might find the original photo which is unchanged. You can also read the comments (评论) below it to see what other people think.
⑥What should you do about deepfakes If you see something that looks fake, talk to an adult you trust. They can give you good advice. Fake photos or videos may cause harm when people share them a lot. So if something seems mean or hurtful, the best choice is not to share it.
27. Which of the following is a deepfake
A. A video that is created by AI. B. A photo that is taken with a camera.
C. An article that is written by AI. D. A movie that is made by a film maker.
28. What can be put in the ________ in Paragraph 3
A. Deepfakes are widely used in our daily life.
B. AI also helps people create many popular toys.
C. New technology brings both changes and challenges.
D. Faking photos isn’t new, and technology makes it simpler.
29. How can you check whether a photo is fake
A. Ask for your classmates’ ideas. B. Put it online to find where it is from.
C. Look at it through special glasses. D. Make some comments about it online.
30. What is the correct structure of the text
A. B.
C. D.
