Nowadays,robots are being used more and more in schools,changing the way
students leam.To begin with,in many classrooms,robots work as teaching helpers by
adjusting their teaching speed to match each student's level.A 2024 study from Beijing
Normal University with 1,200 students found that using robot helpers improved test
scores by 15%on average,because they could give quick answers and special
exercises for each student.Moreover,robots used in teaching science and math can
help students learn better than traditional ways,such as Scratch,a platform teaching
programming in a fun way.
However,robots also bring problems.For example,they could make students
confused when making mistakes.A report in The Times in May 2025 showed that 60%
of UK students believed the robot even when it gave wrong answers.As a result,
although robots can help with learning,they sometimes make mistakes and need
teachers to correct them.As education expert Professor Wang Li says,"Robots can
help students learn,but they can never take the place of real teachers.Teachers don't
just teach facts-they understand students'feelings and can encourage them in ways
robots never can.”
Even so,robots are clearly making education better in many ways.They can do
easy teaching jobs,giving teachers more time to help students with difficult ideas.The
best way is to use robots and teachers together,as robots can deal with easy tasks while
teachers focus on the important parts.
In the future,we will probably see more robots in classrooms,but they should be
used as tools to help teachers,not to replace them.After all,good education needs both
modern technology and the human touch that only real teachers can provide.
