三、阅读理解
Do you have good friends Do you sometimes feel so close to them that they are like family to you
This isn’t just an expression. A study from the University of California has found that you and your friends have more genes (基因) in common than strangers do. Researchers looked at the genes of 1,932 people and compared unrelated friends’ genes and unrelated strangers’ genes. They found that friends have about 1% of genes that match. This is the same amount of genes you share with your fourth cousins, those who have the same great-great-great grandparents as you.
So do you happen to become friends with people who share your genes Not at all. In fact, it is evolution (进化) that brings you together.
“People who share certain genes also share skills and have similar likes and dislikes,” researchers said. In ancient times, it was important that people who were alike stayed together. For example, people who were more easily affected by the cold were more likely to help each other build a fire to stay alive.
Researchers also found that smell-related genes were most similar in friends. This is probably because people with similar senses of smell are more easily attracted to similar environments. For example, people who like the smell of coffee may visit cafés more often and as a result are more likely to meet and become friends with each other.
With these findings, the team has developed an interesting test called the “friendship score”. It can help show the chances of two people being friends. So, here is a question for you: Would you like to take this test and know early who your friends are going to be, or would you still prefer to learn about it by yourself and let time be the judge

As teenagers grow up. they start to make their own decisions (决定). However. during this period. it can be easy for them to form bad habits. These bad habits, if we don’t change them, could cause more serious ones when they become adults, so stopping harmful habits from controlling (控制) a teenager’s life is important. They must learn to know bad habits early and make right changes.
To change bad habits is never easy. In many ways, our lifestyle is the sum of choices we have made. We make a choice to do something, and then we repeat it over and over again. Soon that choice forms a habit that is much harder to change. The good news is that we can change, if we understand how habits work.
According to modern psychology (心理学), we must first learn about the“habit cycle”, which works like this:
Firstly. there is a “cue”, an action, event、or situation that acts as a signal (信号) to do something.
Secondly, there is a “routine”. the regular (有规律的) action you take in response (反应) to the cue.
Thirdly there is the “reward”, the good thing or feeling we get from the routine.
For example, when we feel unhappy (cue), we eat lots of unhealthy snacks (routine). which makes us feel happy (reward). The reward makes us much more likely to continue the cycle. and the bad habit of depending on unhealthy snacks is formed.
To help us succeed in changing our bad habits, we must first examine our bad habit cycles and then try to change them. Besides, we may find it hard to change bad habits quickly. In fact, the most successful way to change is not suddenly, but over a period of time.
For young people, there is lots of time to change bad habits. However. there is no”magic pill”:you have to think about your bad habits and decide on some changes. You have the power to build a happy and healthy life full of good habits!
34.Which of the following means”the three periods of the habit cycle”
A. B. C. D.
35.Why is it important to stop harmful habits from controlling a teenager’s life

D.Because teenagers don’t have any bad habits.
36.What can we learn from the passage

Shenzhen is the first city in China to ask schools to have daily P.E. classes for primary and middle school students. Buxin Primary School in Luohu District has a “3+1+1” model—three P.E. classes, one music-based exercise class and one sports game class. This makes sure that students have five P.E. classes per week.
Then there is a new problem: there aren’t enough P.E. teachers. Buxin Primary School lets teachers from other subjects teach some P.E. classes. For example, Liu Xunhua, a Chinese teacher, is also a part-time P.E. teacher. He says daily P.E. classes are good for students’ health and he supports the idea.
Besides, many schools don’t have much space for the new P.E. classes. To solve the problem, Longhua Foreign Languages School makes full use of space in the school. For example, students can run uphill (朝上坡方向) and jump on steps. If there are too many P.E. classes at the same time, teachers will take students to the public basketball court (公共篮球场) near the school. It’s just across the street from the school playground.
Students enjoy daily P.E. classes. Yuan Yinuo, a sixth grader, thinks sports can make students feel less stressed in daily study and before exams. Chen Xinru, an eighth grader, says daily P.E. classes can help them improve their studies. However, some parents are worried about daily P.E. classes taking up the learning time for other subjects, although they know the importance of P.E. classes.
Now, many other big cities like Beijing and Shanghai are also trying out daily P.E. classes. They want to make sure that students get enough exercise at school.

五、任务型阅读
根据短文回答问题。(不超过10个词)
In the eyes of many foreigners, the Chinese are the best hosts and the worst guests in the world. And Western hosts sometimes look rude in the eyes of Chinese guests. It is because the guest-host relationship (关系) in China is quite different from that in some western countries.
In China, guests are almost like gods. Whenever I enter a Chinese friend’s home, there is always fruit on the table for me, and someone is quick to bring me a cup of tea or water. In the west, generally the guest is not a god. Acting according to (根据) the host’s way of doing things is usual behaviour for a guest.
My wife’s mother, a very kind Chinese lady, doesn’t smoke. When I see some of her guests smoking in her house, as a non-smoker I feel unhappy. Usually I want to stop them directly, but I must realize that in China, to be a good host, she must not do that.
In most North American homes, if you are a guest, and the hosts are not smokers, you should not smoke in their houses. At the very least, you should ask “Is it OK if I smoke ” But don’t be surprised if they say, “No, you can’t smoke.” In my culture, if you smoke in their houses, you are a bad guest, but if they don’t allow you to smoke in their houses, they are not rude hosts.
In a word, no matter where you are, the best way to be a good guest is to adapt to (适应) the local customs. Just as the saying goes, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.”
56.To many foreigners, who are the best hosts and the worst guests in the world
57.What is usual behaviour for a guest in the west
58.How does the writer feel when he sees some guests smoking in his wife’s mother’s home
59.If a guest wants to smoke in an American host’s home, what question should he ask
60.What do you think is impolite for a guest to do (Please write your own sentence to answer)
六、短文填空
Have you ever seen pop-ups (弹出窗口) when you go online
These days it’s common for you to get a pop-up. It lets you 61 (put) the app in “teen mode (模式)” every time you begin to use apps. It’s said that it will bring teenagers 62 (good) experiences than before and make sure they’re using the apps in a healthier way. For example, some short video apps have the feature to prevent 63 (teenage) from watching videos for long and with the feature, they might only be allowed to watch for 40 minutes. The videos that teenagers can watch are made sure 64 (be) safe and even educational. There are no advertisements and teenagers cannot pay any money 65 the videos. In QQ’s teen mode, teenagers can only talk to people on their contact lists. 66 (they) chat records show Pinyin, which is useful for primary school students.
However, the teen mode does not work for all apps, according to 67 recent report. There aren’t any 68 (different) between the teen mode and the normal mode in some apps. And in some video apps, the teen mode won’t start 69 users watch videos for 40 minutes. But users can get past it 70 clicking (点击) “I know” and continue watching.

Changes Around Us
In the past few years, great changes have taken place around us.
In the past, traveling abroad was nearly impossible for most people. Now, more people have chances to go abroad or travel online. Meanwhile, we used to ride bicycles or take slow buses, but today many people drive cars or take high-speed trains. At school, we do more reading, group work, and often share our ideas in class. In addition, we have become more aware of environmental protection by planting more trees and using less plastic.
In my opinion, these changes have made our lives more convenient and meaningful. I hope we can continue to develop our world in a greener and smarter way.
