第一部分 听力
Text 1
M: I'm lightheaded—I can hardly stay seated here.
W: Rest in your bed and take the medicine once every eight hours. If you still feel
bad, come back for a follow-up.
Text 2
M: Come on, Betty! The art exhibition opens at 9:30.
W: Alright. We only have twenty minutes to get there before it begins.
Text 3
W: It's nearly 7:00 pm, Leo. Want to come with us for a walk by the lake later on
M: Sorry, Mia. I need to take it easy on my knees this month. I'll just head home and
relax with a documentary instead.
Text 4
M: A box for Lily. Could you sign here, please Also, I'll take a shot with my phone.
W: That's crazy fast! I ordered it during lunch break.
M: Beats me, pal. I just hand out the student parcels from the campus post room.
Text 5
1
W: I need to get to the client's office tomorrow morning, but my bike has broken
down.
M: I'll save you the trouble of waiting for a taxi by picking you up and dropping you
off there on my way to the company.
W: Thank you.
Text 6
M: Would you like to visit the new bookstore with us, Emma
W: Yes, but I have to finish my English essay first. Do you mind waiting for 25
minutes, Jack There are a few photography books on the desk.
M: Shouldn't the English essay be handed in next Monday
W: Yeah, but I have back-to-back lectures on Sunday and will go to a film screening
on Saturday.
M: Got it. You keep working, and I'll run through some photography articles while
waiting.
Text 7
M: Could you spare me a minute I've been trying to fix my broken laptop for three
weeks. I thought it'd be simple to get it working again, but I've checked online guides,
and it's still not right.
W: I wish I could help, but I haven't touched any electronic repairs since my nephew
taught me a little trick years back!
M: Come on, I've been running to repair shops—it's taking up all my free time lately!
W: I get it. I quit my tech support job a year ago after 15 years there! If you want, I
can put you in touch with my former workmate who specializes in laptop repairs.
M: That would be amazing! Thanks a lot.
Text 8
M: Hey, Mary. I'm joining a cycling group downtown this weekend.
W: Nice! Are you sticking to city bike paths or country roads
M: Neither. I'm going to hit the dirt roads in the forest park.
W: Oh, I thought you'd want to do road cycling like me.
M: I do, but I find long straight roads pretty boring.
2
W: Road cycling is more about keeping going for a long time, but I found it relaxing
once I got used to it. Now I've mastered the routes, so I want to try something
different.
M: You should try mountain biking—it's exciting.
W: But my bike is not built for rough ground. It's a basic everyday bike, and
mountain trails need shock absorbers. I think dirty road cycling fits better—my bike
can handle that, so I'm going with that.
M: Fair enough. That makes total sense.
Text 9
M: Helen, I noticed you always carry a handmade notebook—did you buy it from the
campus store
W: No, I made it myself! And I enjoy crafting notebooks because it helps me shake
off the stress from term papers and group presentations.
M: I want to make my own, too. What supplies should I start with
W: Grab basic brown paper, a needle, and cotton thread.
M: Cool! Any tips for the first try
W: Two key things—fold the paper neatly so pages line up, and don't pull the thread
too tight or it'll bend the pages.
M: Can I start making one this weekend
W: Totally! The dorm common room has tables with good light—perfect for crafting.
Want to add any extra touches
M: Yeah, I want to decorate the cover with pressed flowers.
W: Great idea! You can also add a small piece of cloth bookmark.
M: It sounds fun, but I'm worried I'll mess up the sewing.
W: I have extra supplies and a step-by-step guide. I'll meet you in the common room
tomorrow and walk you through it—like how to tie the thread securely.
M: Thank you so much!
(Text 10)
M: Today, I have some wonderful news for campus environmentalists: A group of
students from a high school in Chicago have invented a practical smart device to save
water in school restrooms. Tap water waste used to be a noticeable problem there,
though no one did it intentionally. Recently, the school has set up this student-made
3
device on all restroom taps. How does it work It is equipped with a sensitive motion
sensor—once users' hands leave the area under the tap, the sensor will cause the
device to shut off water automatically within one second. What's more, it's adjustable:
Users can easily turn a small switch to control water flow based on their needs,
ensuring no more unnecessary waste. Designed last semester, the device was tested in
March and formally used in May. It's cheap to make and easy to set up, fitting most
school taps in Chicago and even many common types of taps in middle and high
schools across the country. Since its setup, the device has already cut the school's
monthly water use by 30%! Its teachers and students all praise its convenience and
practicality. It's amazing how student creativity can make campus life greener and
more sustainable. Now, let's welcome the lead inventor of this brilliant device to
share more details.

One possible version:
Hello, everyone ! It ' s my honor to speak here. Today I want to talk about my
favorite traditional Chinese festival. As is known to all, China is famous for its rich
and varied traditional festivals, among which I am fond of the Spring Festival best.
The Spring Festival, which is the most significant traditional festivals in China,
7
falls on the eve of the lunar New Year and lasts fifteen days. There are a variety of
activities taking place during the Spring Festival. To begin with, houses cleaned and
decorated, delicious snacks stored and couplets posted on the doors, all that people
feel is a festive atmosphere. What matters most is that all family members will return
to their hometowns for a traditional family reunion and have a big dinner on the eve
of the Spring Festival. People also watch TV gala until the clock strikes 12 and then
set off fireworks to welcome the New Year. In addition , there are also many other
customs such as dragon dances and lion dances .
While celebrating the Spring Festival, families can not only reunite but also
experience and enjoy traditional Chinese culture. That ' s why I like it best . That ' s
all.Thanks for your listening !
第二节
One possible version:
Finally, we presented Missy's father with the car and the inquiry began. Looking at
the car, he threw a questioning glance at Missy, obviously demanding an explanation.
With a seemingly flawless narrative prepared, Missy recapped her made-up story in a
rather sincere voice, while I stood there in silent agreement. His forehead knotting in
a frown, he circled the car and walked over to the dented area for a closer inspection,
his fingers tracing the edges of the dent. Sensing a hint of skepticism in his eyes,
Missy blurted out. “If you don’t trust me, you could ask my best friend.” She nudged
me slightly as if to beg for assistance. Struggling for what seemed like an eternity, I
nodded reluctantly, not daring to meet his eyes.
Her father looked at me with great disbelief. An enormous wave of guilt mingled with
remorse surging through me, I was torn between the so-called “loyalty” to my friend
and the pursuit of integrity. Ultimately, the latter took the upper hand and I
stammered out the truth. The air seemed to freeze. Missy, visibly shocked by my
“betrayal”, glared at me with a pair of blazing eyes. Overwhelmed with a bewildering
array of emotions, I lowered my head and gazed at the floor, bracing myself for the
scolding and blame that was sure to come. Yet, contrary to my expectations, instead
of erupting with rage, he sighed deeply and addressed us in a stern and solemn tone,
“A dent in metal can be repaired, but how about the dent made in trust and honesty ”
His words, like a bucket of cold water, melted Missy’s rage into shame. A gust of
8
wind blew, sweeping away the crashed leaves sticking in the dent, as well as clearing
the fog in my heart.
