Strong winds will blow down trees or billboards which might hit people or damage things.
Strong winds can break the windows of tall buildings.
People might get trapped in floods because of the heavy rain.
The weather in the eye of a typhoon is surprisingly calm: there is little to no wind, and the skies are clear or partly cloudy.
However, this calm in the typhoon eye is quite short-lived, usually lasting only one to two hours.
Typhoon won’t cause tsunamis but storm surges(风暴潮).
