We researched eating customs. In China, it's not polite to talk with your mouth full. In Brazil, it's rude to do that too. In China, we usually use chopsticks. But in Brazil they use a knife and fork. In both China and Brazil, people show respect to elders by letting them sit down first and serving them first. In both cultures, dishes are also shared rather than served individually, and you are expected to serve others before yourself. In China, it is not polite to be late, but it is not so bad to be late in Brazil. As you can see, some eating customs are the same and some are different between China and Brazil.
