One day, a fox invited a stork to his home for dinner. The fox served the soup in a small dish. While the fox enjoyed the delicious soup, the stork couldn’t eat anything because of his long beak. Feeling hungry and angry, the stork left for home.

Analyzing the characters’ actions helps me see that the fox and the stork both acted selfishly, and the cause - and - effect relationships show that the fox’s unkind behavior led to him being treated the same way. These strategies help me realize the story might be teaching us to treat others as we want to be treated.
