Passage 3 (2025 青岛) [语言文化— 中文习语]
Do you remember the useful sentences like “It’s a piece of cake.” or “It serves you right.” in English learning They carry more 1 than the words themselves. “Drinking ink” is a common expression to show that a person is 2 . Is there anyone who really drinks ink It could be true in Chinese history. During the Northern Qi Dynasty, those who 3 very badly in the exam would be punished by drinking one liter (升) of ink. Even if they were found to have poor handwriting or make up something terrible, they would be taken into a special room to drink ink. The rule was accepted by the following
dynasties. Nowadays, this expression is 4 used to describe people’s ways of receiving education or their level of education. For example, “drinking foreign ink” means one has studied overseas. “Drinking little ink” means a 5 level of education.
“An inch of time is worth an inch of gold” means that an inch of time has the same 6 as an inch of gold. It is also the first half of a saying, “An inch of time is worth an inch of gold, but an inch of time cannot be bought 7 an inch of gold”. In ancient times, time was measured (测量) by inches because people used the sundial as a time-keeping tool. It is made of a flat and 8 plate on which time marks are shown. As the sun moves from rising to setting, the length of the gnomon’s shadow changes from long to short and short to long. This is 9 the sundial tells time.
Language cannot be separated from culture. Language learning can help us 10 understand the cultures behind the countries and communicate more with the people from different countries.

类型三 说明文(10年8考)
Passage 1 (2025 常州) [科技发展— 改进新技术]
For those whose hearts often go off rhythm, pacemakers (心脏起搏器) are life savers. By providing a small electrical support at the right moment, they can keep a heart working properly.
Their main problem is that they use batteries. Even the best of them will run out of energy, and changing the batteries requires operations. Since operations are usually best avoided, the search has been on for long-lasting batteries. Different choices have been explored for a long time. Today, pacemakers with lithium (锂) batteries last between 5 and 15 years.
Zhang Hao, from Shanghai second Military Medical university, and Yang Bin, from Shanghai Jiao Tong university, tried a way to refill a pacemaker’s battery with electricity (电) by getting energy from inside the body. They report in the magazine ACS Nano that they have also used the heart muscle (肌肉) itself to work. Earlier efforts by other scientists to use heart muscle power to run pacemakers depend on piezoelectric materials (压电材料). These materials can be connected to a beating heart and produce electricity when they are slightly deformed (弯曲). This has worked, but not well enough: the output has rarely been over 5 microwatts (微瓦), while most pacemakers require at least ten.
Dr Zhang and Dr Yang believed that they could improve matters by making their piezoelectric materials more dramatically deformed, and then produce 15 microwatts, because the more deformed, the more electricity will be produced. They put their idea to the test in a 50kg pig. It made enough electricity for the pacemaker to work as expected. Whether such an idea will pass human tests remains to be seen. But if it does, the days of pacemakers that need battery changes through operations may not last long.
2.From this passage, what do we know about piezoelectric materials ___
A.They often go off rhythm.
B. Their energy can be used up.
C. operations often influence them.
D. They sometimes do harm to hearts.
1.According to the first two paragraphs, what is a problem with pacemakers ___
B
A
A.They can be used to produce electricity.
B. They can deform the heart to make it beat faster.

D. They were proved to produce 15 microwatts in human tests.
3.What does the word “dramatically” in the 4th paragraph most probably mean ___
C
A. Comfortably. B. Safely.
C. Greatly. D. Rapidly.
4.What is the best title for this article ___

Passage 2 [科普知识——能源动力]
Energy is the ability to do work. Solar energy comes from the sun. There is
also energy that comes from wind and water.
But do you know that energy can come from people, too When you pedal a
bike, you produce energy. You use your legs to push the pedals. Your energy is
transferred(转移) to the bike. That makes the bike move.
Now imagine riding your bike to create enough power to run a computer.
Some students at one school did just that! They jumped on bikes connected to
generators(发电机) and pedaled in place. Soon they were producing electricity.
This energy is needed to run their computers.
Here is how bicycle-powered energy works. When a student pedals the bike,
the back wheel spins. The wheel spins the generator. The generator produces
electricity. As long as a student pedals the bicycle, electricity moves through the
generator. The electricity can be used right away. This energy can also be stored
and used later.
People use bicycle-powered energy to run small devices(设备),such as
small televisions and fans. They often use less than 10 watts per hour. However,
it would be a mistake to use pedal power to run a fridge. This large machine
often uses more than 60 watts per hour. The electricity for these machines comes
from power lines overhead or underground.
Pedal power can be seen in schools, gyms, and homes. What a fun way to
provide electricity!

for food or water for several days.
Camels are the only animals with humps. And it’s the hump that gives
camels the amazing ability to go for long periods of time without food or water.
The hump is like a spare cupboard(备用食物柜) where the camel stores(储存)
food and water for days when there is nothing to eat or drink.
Have you ever wondered how they do it?For your answer,
take a look at the big round hump which is on a camel’s back.
When life is good, and there is plenty to eat and drink,a camel’s hump can
grow to as big as 40 kilograms. The food is changed into fat(脂肪) and stored
in the camel’s hump.
When there is nothing to eat or drink, camels begin to use the stored fat in
their humps. That’s why they can continue to live for weeks without food and up
to 10 days without water.
Camels are like sponges. They can take in more than 130 litres of water in
one short drink. In only a few minutes, all of this water goes directly to the
camel’s blood cells(细胞).
Camels save water, too. They never know when they’ll find the next watering
hole. As they breathe out, their noses close quickly. The water in the breath stays
in their bodies.
After a long trek across the desert carrying 100 kilograms or more, a camel
can lose up to 150 kilograms of weight. The camel’s hump will become very small.
As soon as this camel gets to an oasis(绿洲), it will take in hundreds of litres
of water. In a day, it will get back most of its weight. Nature really has given
camels the perfect system for living the hard desert life.

Passage 1 (2025 泰安) [科普—机器人的设计]
Nowadays, some companies around the world are now offering humanoid (human-like) robots. They are being designed (设计) to look as human as possible. These products of technology are at the center of a debate (辩论): Should they be made to look like humans or just like what they are—machines
Robots are playing an increasingly bigger role in our lives. In some countries, robots have been entertaining kids and helping the elderly. Some experts say robots will be more effective at such jobs if they look like humans. Research has shown that people feel closer to human-like robots. Also, human-like robots suit environments that are designed for humans. After all, the world is full of stairs (楼梯), hallways, shelves at shoulder height and sightlines at eye level.
But other experts say robots don’t need to look like humans. Humanoid robots also have disadvantages. If robots look like us, we may expect them to act like us. However, they may make us disappointed because they can’t always do that yet. For example, they can ’t laugh at the right moments during a conversation. Many people also find human-like robots scary.
I think the human body is not the best design for many of the jobs we want robots to do. Just think of small, flat robot vacuums (真空吸尘器). They can go under a sofa to pick up the dust balls. Can human-like robots also do this Even if robots can be made into human-like ones, why do we limit (限定) them to two legs and two arms Why not four and six so they can pick up the elderly or sick people comfortably And that super intelligent AI almost certainly wouldn’t pick one body design to carry its mind around in. why limit computational capacity (算力) to what fits inside a single head
What’s your opinion about robots’ shapes
1.According to the second paragraph, the reasons why robots should be designed to look like humans include .
B
①People feel closer to humanoid robots.
②Robots are widely used in the industrial field.
③Humanoid robots can serve the people effectively.
④Humanoid robots can suit human environments.
A. ①②④ B. ①③④
C. ②③④ D. ①②③
2. Other experts don’t agree that robots are designed to look like humans because humanoid robots .
D
A. cost a lot
B. can’t cry or laugh
C. can’t have conversations with humans
D. can’t always behave like us as we expect
3.What’s the writer’s opinion according to the fourth paragraph ___
A. Robots can’t be made to look like humans.
B. Humanoid design is still the best choice for robots.
C. A robot should be designed with more arms, legs and heads.
D. The design of a robot’s shape should depend on its use.
D
4.What’s the best title of this passage ___
A. The Development of Humanoid Robots
B. A Debate about Improving the Services of Robots
C. Should Robots Look like Humans
D. Different Robots, Different Services
C

Passage 2[科普——议论自言自语的好处]
It can be really embarrassed if someone sees you talking to yourself. But
don’t feel bad about it! Talking to yourself actually has a lot of advantages.
You probably know that thinking is good for the brain. It helps us do things
like making plans and managing our feelings. Talking to yourself loud is like
showing this quiet inner(内在的) speech. It can help us do better in different
areas like school, sports and work.
Talking to yourself, especially in the third person, can help us manage bad
feelings. “Talking to yourself in the third person is like giving yourself advice,”
said Jason Moser, a professor (教授) from Michigan State University, US.
Moser uses himself in an example. He does not like flying, but he has to fly
often for his work. So when he is feeling nervous or afraid during a flight
(航班), he talks to himself. “Well, you know, Jason knows air travel is very
safe. And Jason has been on thousands of flights.” This can help us to see things
from a different aspect (角度), especially when we’re feeling sad or angry.
When encouragement comes from oneself, it adds to self-confidence. A study
invited 72 tennis players to take part in some matches. Researchers (调查者)
put the players into two groups:one group that said nothing while playing, and the
other that talked to themselves while playing. They found that the self-talkers
showed more confidence and played better than those in the silent group.
Self-talk also helps to improve memory. Researchers tested four different
ways to memorize things:reading silently, reading aloud, listening to someone else
read and listening to a recording of oneself reading. Those who read out loud
recalled the information the best, researchers said in their study. It’s because the
information will probably become a long-term memory if it is said out loud.
1.What does the underlined word “It” refer to (指代) in Paragraph 2 ___
A
A.Talking to yourself. B.The brain.
C.Thinking. D.Making plans.
2.How does the writer show his opinion in Paragraph 3 ___
B
A.By listing numbers. B.By giving an example.
C.By comparing himself with others. D.By giving reasons.
3.What’s the main idea of Paragraph 4 ___
C
A.Talking to yourself helps to find out the best players.
B.Talking to yourself helps to improve players’ talking skills.
C.Talking to yourself helps to make you more confident.
D.Talking to yourself helps to manage bad feelings.
4.Which of the following best shows the structure(结构) of the passage
(P=Paragraph) ___
A
A. B. C. D.
Passage 3 (2025 长沙改编) [科普—低头族现象]
One morning, I stopped at my favorite restaurant to get something to eat and got comfortable at a small table. Shortly after, I noticed four young people sitting at a table near me. After simply greeting each other and ordering, they all looked at their phones and continued to do so until their orders arrived. After photographing their food, they ate, continuing to look at their phones. I was wondering why they came here to eat together. They were phubbing, or phone snubbing (冷落), a very common problem these days.
You may not know the word “phubbing”, but this kind of act is not strange to you. In fact, 32% of people report that they are phubbed two or three times a day.
Do you have a conversation on your phone while talking to another person face to face Do you scroll (上下滑动) through your phone while eating with someone for fear of missing out If your answer is yes to either of them ,you might be a “phubber”.
The writer of The Psychology of Phubbing did a survey and found that the influence of phubbing on relationships can be very harmful or destructive. For example, children felt that parents who phubbed them didn’t care about them. This led to a feeling of being left out. Also, partners who were phubbed might be less satisfied with the relationship because of jealousy (嫉妒) and worries.
Phubbing is a learned act, so unlearning it is possible. Start by accepting the problem. Set a time limit (限制) for not using your phone. Create areas where phones are off-limits. Don’t let the modern technology which is designed (设计) to bring people together separate you from others.
1.What did the four young people keep doing before their orders arrived? ___
B
A. They kept talking about their daily life.
B. They kept looking at their phones.
C. They kept taking photos of the restaurant.
D. They kept greeting each other.
2.How does the writer introduce the word “phubber” in Paragraph 3? ___
A
A. By raising questions.
B. By listing numbers.
C. By giving reasons.
D. By comparing ideas.
3.What does the underlined word “destructive” in Paragraph 4 mean? ___
A. 微乎其微的 B. 积极正向的
C. 有破坏性的 D. 可挽回的
C
4.What is the main purpose of the text? ___
A
A. To warn people against phubbing.
B. To show how phones bring people closer.
C. To present the advantages of modern technology.
D. To introduce family traditions..

Passage 4[科普——创造力]
Some people think creativity is making something completely new,so they
do not think of themselves as creative ones. However, some other people think
creativity can just be expressing themselves through everyday acts and they are
born creative because it is not an all-or-nothing quality or skill.
Whether or not we realize it,we all have the ability to express creativity.
Sometimes the path to creative productivity is being willing to do something
different.
Are you someone who loves to read comics?Perhaps it is time you create
one of your own. Don’t worry if you cannot draw very well or feel that you
cannot write humorous reports for characters.
Nobody says this is an exam! You only have to please yourself,to gain the
satisfaction that you try something new,all on your own. If you feel easy, you
can of course share it with your loved ones,or post it on social media.
Are you someone who likes to express yourself in writing?Try writing a
blog. This is like the new version of a diary. In your blog, you can write about
your thoughts, opinions and experiences. You can also write stories or plays,if
you feel up to it!The blog provides you with a platform to create something new
every day,in written forms.
Are you someone who likes to be alone? Now,think about the things that
make you happy. Find a small place in your room,or any place in your home,
where you can spend time with yourself. It can be a small corner next to your
bed or a wall. It can be a poster of your favourite rock star or photos of your
friends. You can also pick a guitar if you like to play instruments,or a few
storybooks if you love reading. Some of you may like flowers, candles or pretty
things. Decorate your area with your favourite things in any way you like. That
is creativity! And if you do feel bored with this, you can change, add or remove
something.
By realizing the chances in our daily lives to inspire our creativity,no
matter how small,we may become more comfortable with taking bigger creative
leaps in other aspects of our lives.

Passage 5
[科普——传统文化对现代科技产生的影响]
So far, China has successfully sent a large number of satellites(卫星)and
spaceships into space. Space scientists have been greatly inspired(赋予灵感) by
the old stories and ancient famous people when giving them names.
Since thousands of years ago, Chinese people have dreamed of going to the
moon. Chang’e Flies to the Moon is one of the most popular stories. As you can
see, China’s first man-made satellite to circle around the moon was named Chang’e
I. More interestingly, the moon rover(探测器) was named after the Jade Rabbit,
who is the partner of Chang’e in the story.
These old stories carry people’s best wishes and dreams. With the development of
science and technology, our scientists have made them come true.
Kua Fu Runs after the Sun is another story to show how much ancient
Chinese people wanted to know about the unknown world. Now, Kua Fu is going
with the scientists to “visit” the sun, because we have a space project called
Kuafu Mission.
Besides the ancient stories, space scientists also get ideas from ancient
famous people. For example, Mozi, an ancient scientist, discovered that light
travels in a straight line over 2,000 years ago. His discovery made space study
take a big step at that time. So, China’s first quantum(量子) science satellite
was named after Mozi, making China the first country in the world to achieve
quantum communication between satellites and the ground.
From such simple things as giving names to the satellites, we can see how
great our traditional culture is and what influence it has on our modern science
and technology.
1.In China, space scientists get ideas from ___ when naming satellites.
B
①old stories ②traditional projects
③ancient famous people
④popular inventions
A.①② B.①③ C.②④ D.③④
2.What do we know about Chang’e I according to the passage ___
A
A.It moves around the moon.
B.It protects the Jade Rabbit.
C.It “visits” the sun with the scientists.
D.It is the world’s first man-made satellite.
3.How does the writer support his opinion in Paragraph 4 ___
C
A.By listing numbers. B.By comparing facts.
C.By giving an example. D.By reporting a result.
4.What’s the writer’s main purpose of writing the passage ___
D
A.To spread the traditional Chinese culture.
B.To explain how our scientists develop the space industry.
C.To introduce the achievements in our science and technology.
D.To tell how traditional Chinese culture influences our space science.(共44张PPT)

Passage 2
[环境保护——动物保护]
A total of 23 spotted seals(斑海豹) were put back into the waters off the
coast of Dalian in Northeast China’s Liaoning Province on Tuesday, Dec.
12, 2023 as part of China’s continuous efforts to protect endangered wildlife.
The seals were hunted and sold, but have now been saved and marked for
future protection. A fishery law enforcement ship arrived at the sea area near
Dalian in the morning, carrying the spotted seals. The seals were let go free one
by one into the sea. They swam freely in the water, returning to their natural
home.
Spotted seals are nationally protected animals in China. They are the only
kind of seals that can breed(繁殖) in Chinese waters. Like migratory(迁徙的)
birds, they appear around October every year in Liaodong Bay,and take the long
journey back to the Northwest Pacific in May after breeding. They are often
considered as the “panda of the sea”.
Thanks to China’s top-class national protection in recent years, the population
of spotted seals in Chinese waters has reached around 2,000, while the global
population is between 400,000 and 600,000. Studies have shown that these 2,000
spotted seals are of great importance for the study and research on spotted seals.
To protect this rare animal and its ecological environment, the Liaoning
Dalian Spotted Seal Wetlands were set up in 1992. In January 2002, they were
included in the List of Wetlands of International Importance. Covering an area of
560,000 hectares with a coastline of about 370 kilometers, the wetlands are rich
in biological resources. They have become home to nationally protected animals
such as the spotted seal, finless porpoise, killer whales, false killer whales,
common dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, and East Asian river dolphins.
Since 1992, researchers in Dalian have successfully saved 388 spotted seals
and put 299 of them back into the wild.

[传统文化——毛笔的历史]
In 223 BC Meng Tian(蒙恬) led the army in a war against the Chu
Kingdom. In those days, people wrote on silk with a kind of stick pen. The stick
pen was very hard and made writing very slow. Meng Tian had to often write a
great number of reports about battlefield situation to the Qin ruler. He was
frustrated(沮丧的) with the difficulty of writing, so he decided to make
improvements.
Between battles, Meng enjoyed hunting. One day, Meng hunted a wild rabbit.
It was fat and heavy and its tail left a trail(痕迹) on the ground.
Meng suddenly had an idea. He immediately tied the rabbit’s tail to a stick and
tried writing with it. But the rabbit’s hair was too oily(多油的) to hold the ink.
Meng felt very sad and threw his “rabbit hair brush pen” away into a hole in the
rocks.
However, Meng Tian couldn’t accept the failure and continued to spend time
wondering how to improve the brush pen. A few days later, he was having a
walk outside for some fresh air. By chance, he found again the rabbit hair brush
pen that he had thrown away. He picked it up and found that it had changed and
was now soft and wet—holding water. Meng Tian got inspiration at once. He put

Passage 4
[沟通与交流——观点看法]
If you have a chance to learn by yourself, what might you do Perhaps you choose to practice football skills; you would prefer to discuss something together; and you might just read. This is the most important thing of “unschooling”. It is also known as “natural learning” or “independent learning”.
For this kind of educational practice, people think differently. Here are their comments (意见).
Know More
Schooling is education that children receive at school.
Home schooling is the practice of educating that children learn at home with a
parent or a tutor.
Unschooling is an educational practice that allows children to decide how, what
and where they want to learn.
Agree
Independent learning teaches children to be responsible for themselves. With
no teacher around, children must manage themselves, and this is a really
important skill for later life.
Unschooling allows children to learn what they are really interested in. If
learning is enjoyable, it’s more successful.
Very young children learn in a natural way. Without being taught, they
know colors and voices, they learn smiling and walking. Why shouldn’t people
continue to learn like this
Unschooling gives children more time for sports, volunteering and museum
or park visits. They may meet different people who share their interests.
续表
Disagree
Unschooling requires parents’ support and attention. They need to create a
learning space that excites children and remind them of their daily routines.
Teachers can push children to learn what they don’t enjoy but can be
important later in life.
Unschooling sounds too good to be true. It can be helpful when children
are very young. But it puts too much pressure on children because they can
learn difficult subjects easily only with teachers’ help.
Unschooling happens at home, so children could have less contact with
others at their age. This means they could end up becoming shy.
续表
When deciding how you are going to learn,it’s necessary to think about
which works. Choose what is suitable for you and what can have a positive
influence on your growth.
1.What is the most important thing of unschooling
__________________________________________________________________
It allows children to decide how, what and where they want to learn.
2.Whose support and attention do children need when they experience unschooling
_____________________________________________
They need their parents’ support and attention.
3.How can children become successful in learning
________________________________________________________________________
___________________
By learning what they are really interested in./They can learn what they are really interested in.
4.Why are children under too much pressure from unschooling
________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________
Because they can’t learn difficult subjects easily without teachers’ help./Because they can learn difficult subjects easily only with teachers’ help.
5.If possible, what kind of educational practice would you like to choose Why

Passage 5 (2025 长沙) [个人经历— 哲理感悟]
One recent weekend, I decided to learn how to make jiaozi with my grandmother. I thought it would be fun and easy at the very beginning, but soon it came to me that it wasn’t as simple as it looked.
At first, I didn’t pay attention to the sharp (锋利的) knife while cutting vegetables. My finger got cut because of my carelessness. Luckily, it wasn’t serious. Grandma was nervous, and quickly helped me clean the cut. “My poor little girl! Be careful next time!” said Grandma softly. Through the painful lesson, I learned the hard way that safety should always come first.
After that accident (意外), I continued working with Grandma. We made the dough (面团), mixed the filling, and started shaping the dumplings. However, I kept making mistakes. Some of my dumplings were too thick, others were not properly sealed (封闭), and some even had too much filling, making them difficult to close. It was so discouraging, but Grandma kept encouraging me.
Until noon, we had a plate full of dumplings— some are perfect, and some are a bit messy. Dad ate my ugliest dumpling first. “Tastes better than it looks!” he laughed. Mom encouraged me, “They’re the most delicious dumplings I have ever had. I am so proud of you!”
Now I understand that making jiaozi isn’t just about the final product; it is about learning patience, having fun with my family, and improving through mistakes. Mistakes aren’t signs of weakness. Instead, they should be viewed (看待) as stepping stones to achievements.
1.What did the writer think of making jiaozi at the very beginning

The writer thought it would be fun and easy at the very beginning.
2.What happened to the writer’s finger because of her carelessness

Our Heroes in Green
There are great heroes around us, and the saihanba forest rangers are the ones I admire most. For decades, they worked hard in the dry and windy land. They planted millions of trees, turning the once barren area into a green forest. They also patrol every day to protect the trees from fires and pests.
Their spirit of persistence and responsibility touches me deeply. Now, when I face difficult math problems, I never give up easily—I keep trying like the rangers stick to planting trees. I also help water the small trees in our school garden to learn their love for nature.
These rangers are true heroes. I’ll always remember their effort and try to be a person who contributes to our planet.
