二、阅读理解
Have you ever visited Xiong’an Business Service Center Do you know anything special about it On top of the center’s six buildings, there are about 28, 400 solar panels (太阳能板). They match perfectly with the traditional Chinese design of the buildings. If they were put together, the solar panels would cover an area of 1.4 standard football fields. These panels now can produce 5% of the electricity that is needed for the center.
Using local clean energy plays an important role in Xiong’an New Area’s progress. Solar panels which cover some buildings are used to provide electricity in the area. In the future, the solar panel project will produce more electricity. The electricity will first be used by companies in the area, and the rest will be shared.
The solar panel project is good for the environment and economy (经济). It not only helps to reduce greenhouse gases (温室气体), but also lowers electricity costs for companies in the area. The project is expected to produce nearly 3.5 million kWh of electricity. This means that about 3, 000 tons of greenhouse gases will be avoided every year.
There are already a number of projects in the area. These projects use solar power and other clean energy. The 2025 Shenzhen Cultural Expo (ICIF) has drawn global attention with its exciting exhibition (展览) of artificial intelligence (AI). This year, AI technology became one of the biggest highlights, showing how it can change the future of culture and creativity.
AI-powered tools made cultural activities easier and more fun. The expo introduced “Wen Xiaobo”, an AI tool that uses AI models to help people find business partners and provide real-time translations.
Robots were everywhere, showing off their skills. Besides the dancing robots that many people have seen, there were coffee-making robots that create latte art ( 拉花) from visitors’ photos in just 90 seconds. Music-playing robots played the piano and traditional Chinese instruments like the guzheng. There were even lifelike robots of famous poets like Li Bai and Du Fu, helping foreigners experience Chinese poetry.

二、阅读理解
Singapore is considered to be one of the cleanest countries in the world and attracts a large number of tourists every year. The country is famous for cleanliness and order which come from strict expectations about public behaviour. Now, we’ve put together a list of “dos and don’ts”. If in doubt, check out the laws in more detail here: https://www. gou. sg.
When using the escalator (自动扶梯) in singapore, you should stand on the left and walk on the right. This allows those who want to walk up to go around you easily. Singapore also provides separate cycling and walking paths, so you should make sure you walk on the right paths. This keeps everyone a bit safer and prevents overcrowding.
Although Singapore has taken up a large number of new technologies into daily life, many areas still see the value of cash (现金). So having cash in hand is essential. For example, some smaller neighbourhood shops may prefer customers to pay cash.
In Singapore, the first thing you need to do is get some tap water (自来水). The water is carefully tested, so it’s safe to drink straight from the tap. Bottled water is widely available but it’s expensive, tap water can help you save money.
Of course, there are some things that you can’t do. In singapore, for example, the sale and import of chewing gum is not allowed, meaning you cannot even bring gum with you when you enter. To keep public transportation clean, singapore also has strict rules on behaviour while riding. The picture below is a good example.

On March 27th, 2025, China’s health and market agencies brought out new
food safety rules. The main goal is to help people choose healthier and safer foods.
One big change is that words like “no added” or “zero added” will disappear from food package labels (标识). Companies used these words to sell their products, but they could trick consumers (消费者). For example, a “no added sugar” juice might still have a lot of natural fruit sugars. This makes consumers think it has no sugar at all. Also, some products changed one sweetener for another, making buyers misunderstand. The new rules want to make labels easier to understand and more honest. Now, consumers are told to look carefully at the ingredient list instead of being fooled by nice-sounding marketing words. What’s more, common allergens (过敏原) like nuts, eggs, or milk must be clearly shown on labels, either in bold (黑体) letters or underlined.
Another important change is the use of digital (数码的) labels. By just scanning the QR code (二维码) on the package, consumers can get a lot of information. They can find out where the ingredients come from, how to store the food, and even watch teaching videos. Food expiration (过期) dates will be made simpler, too. Instead of finding out how long a product can last from the production date, labels will now show the “use by” date directly. To stop food waste, some products may also have a “best before” date.
Companies have two years to change their packaging and use up the old products. These rules not only protect consumers but also make producers focus on really improving the quality. Without doubt, they show China’s promise to be open in food production and care about public health.
1. Which of the following is NOT allowed on food packaging labels according to the passage
A. QR codes linking to ingredient sources.
B. Words like “no sugar” or “zero added”.
C. Clear expiration dates labeled as “use by”.
D. Allergens underlined in bold letters.

A. The new food safety rules.
B. The digital labels with QR codes.

It’s nice for someone to return the money he or she found to the owner. It’s also what people need to do by law.
Recently, a university student left her smartphone in a restaurant. A man later picked it up.When the phone owner found the man, he asked for two thousand yuan from the owner. He even said that he would delete all the information on the phone if the owner wouldn’t give him the money. The owner couldn’t provide the money and she didn’t have to. The police suggested that the owner should file a lawsuit (起诉) against the man.
According to the ciuil code (《民法典》), when you find something by accident, you mustn’t keep it as your own. You can either tell the owner to come and get it if you can reach him or her, or you can hand it over to the police.

二、阅读理解
The Hutuo River is the mother river of shijiazhuang, the capital city of Hebei. About 20 years ago, it was dirty and almost dried up. Thanks to the government’s work, it has become much cleaner.
Wu Wenzhong, a 58-year-old villager, lives near the river. “My friends and I often played with water, swam and caught fish in it when I was a child. I liked catching fish best,” he said. He remembers that the villagers had to cross the river by boat at that time. But as time passed by, it got dirty and started to dry up.
To remediate (修复) the river, the government does a lot of things. They clean the river up and build levees (防洪堤). They plant trees, grass and flowers to green the riverside. They set up fences (防护栏) and put up “No swimming!” signs along the river to protect people. They stop factories from putting waste water into the river. They keep an eye on the river to make sure it stays clean for the fish, birds and people who live nearby. They also have a long-term plan to keep the river in good condition.
Now, there are more than 20 kinds of birds living around the river. It becomes a home for birds again. People can enjoy a day outdoors with the beauty of nature along the river. Wu and other villagers are happy to see the river looking good again.

Tangshan, located in Hebei Province, China, is a city rich in history and cultural heritage, just over an hour’s train ride from Beijing. Today, it offers visitors a mix of historical and modern attractions.
The city’s name is tied to the Tang Dynasty (618-907) with one theory suggesting Emperor Taizong named the area after a military expedition (远征). As you explore Tangshan, you’re likely to be greeted by locals with the phrase, “Tangshan is very Tang, and we welcome you.”
A visit is incomplete without experiencing the “Tangshan Banquet,” a culinary journey through the area’s flavors—you can taste many local dishes here. Local specialties include
qizi shaobing, a type of chinese flatbread stuffed with meat or bean paste, and gezha, a savory snack made from mung bean flour. These dishes provide a taste of Tangshan’s rich cultural heritage.
As you enjoy traditional dishes, you are surrounded by beautiful views of bridges, running streams, and pretty pavilions. To make it even better, there are daily shows of local traditional arts, like Pingju Opera, and Laoting Drum performances. If you want to bring something home for your friends, you can visit Qianxi County to buy some Qianxi Chestnuts.
The city’s industrial heritage is equally amazing. Once a center for coal transportation, Tangshan played a pioneering role in China’s industrialization. The Qixin 1889 cultural block offers a glimpse into this legacy (遗产) connecting tourism with leisure activities.
Visitors can also explore Hetou Old Street, a historic area mixing modern trends with traditional culture. The Tangshan Earthquake Memorial park is built to honor the people who died in the terrible 1976 earthquake and shows the city ’s strength.
With its mix of history, local cuisine, and cultural richness, Tangshan offers an unforgettable journey that blends the past with the present.

The history of traffic lights dates back to the early 19th century in Britain. London was a busy city with horse-drawn carriages (马车). They often rushed into people, causing many accidents. At the same time, there was a fashion rule in London—women in red showed that they were married and green for unmarried. This gave people the idea for using red and green as traffic signs later.
On December 10th, 1868, British mechanic (机械师) De Hart designed the world’s first traffic light with only red and green. A policeman had to pull a belt to change the lights:red meant “stop”, and green meant “go”. At first, it worked well and reduced accidents. However, this traffic light exploded (爆炸) after 23 days. The light was turned off, but the idea stayed alive.
三、阅读表达(2025 临沂)
In 1914, electric traffic lights were first used in America. Red and green still did their jobs, then they were safer and easier to see.
In 1927, a chinese student named Hu Ruding was studying in the US. He noticed drivers sometimes rushed when the light changed. “What if there’s a middle color to slow people down ” he thought. That’s how the yellow light was born, meaning “get ready to stop”. Around the same time, an American policeman named william potts created the first three-color traffic lights for all directions. They made crossroads much safer.
These colors were not chosen by chance. Red is easy to see, like a fire alarm, so it means “danger—stop!” Yellow is a warning, like a sign that says “be careful—slow down!” Green, like a forest, tells us “safe to go!” Together, they form a common language that keeps people safe every day.
Great ideas come from everyday things. Whether traffic lights or something else, noticing and thinking “what if” can change the world!

After the lunchtime rush, it’s time for the food delivery (递送) drivers to eat.
Liu Lijie, halfway through a 13-hour workday, usually rides to a restaurant in Beijing for his favorite choice—mutton noodle soup, for 12 yuan, 6 yuan cheaper than the regular price.
The reduced-price meals, known as aixincan or loving meals, are available at some restaurants in large cities, home to large populations of migrant workers (农民工) who come looking for jobs.
“There is a lot of pressure in life since I came to Beijing to work, so eating aixincan is both cheap and convenient,” says 40-year-old Liu, who arrived in Beijing two years ago from Shanxi Province. In order to get back earlier to make money, he digs into his meal hurriedly at the Yushiji Restaurant.
Luo Shuai, another delivery driver, learned of Yushiji’s aixincan through his workmates and has since become a daily customer at the restaurant, which serves food from his native (本地的) Henan Province.
“It reminds me of my hometown,” says 27- year-old Luo, who moved to Beijing at the end of last year.
Feng Yong, the 43-year-old manager of a meat pie restaurant, spends much of his day making pies. He says the restaurant began serving aixincan to help people in need and inspire others to do the same. As a Shandong Province native who moved to Beijing more than 20 years ago, Feng says he has a deep understanding of being an outsider working in a new city.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to help our community and make it a better place. It’s good for both the people who get help and the volunteers.
Many people volunteer because they want to help others. For example, lots of volunteers work at local shelters (收容所). They help take care of homeless people. They also collect used clothes from the public and sort (分类) them carefully. After that, they give the clean and suitable clothes to homeless people. This makes the lives of these people a little easier. Also, volunteering helps volunteers learn new things. When volunteers teach kids to read, they learn how to be more patient. When they help clean up the park, they learn how to work together with others. These new skills are useful in their own lives.
Volunteering is also a great way to make new friends. Volunteers meet different people who all want to help. They can share ideas and have fun while helping others. I stood at the door and called him, but he didn’t answer.

It’s widely known that eating with their families is good for children. But what you may not know is that eating together as a family is also good for parents.
When parents have dinner together with their children, they eat healthier home-cooked meals and more fruit and vegetables. That is because they want to set an example for their kids on good eating habits. Parents also try to control their bad behavior. They avoid overeating or drinking when their children are watching.
Eating dinner together helps parents build stronger connections with their children. Families turn off the TV, put away their cellphones and just have face-to-face conversations. The more parents communicate with their children, the better the relationship with them will be. The only thing better than eating dinner together is following it with a family game night.
When eating with their children, parents can also teach them lifelong skills. Children can learn table manners and conversation etiquette (礼仪). If you cook the meals together, you can teach your children how to become independent adults. After all, your children need to learn how to do more than just how to use a can opener.
Eating together as a family also shows good parenting skills to your children. Some teens grow up in homes that have regular (固定的) family meals. They possibly have regular family meals in their future homes. Some studies have shown the relationship between the frequency (频率) of meals people ate with their parents before growing up and the number of meals they eat with their own children.

I ran into the forest to my favorite place and sat down on my special rock. I knew no one could find me. At last I had peace and quiet. I lifted my guitar and began to play.
“Hi, Desha!”
Shocked, I found my brother James standing behind me.
“Don’t you have a basketball game to watch ” I complained (抱怨) .
“The game was almost over when I noticed (注意) you left. I thought you might like some company (陪伴).”
“Company is the last thing I want. Can’t I have a little peace and quiet ”
James studied me for a minute, “It’s hard having such a big family, isn’t it ”
“Eliza’s always prying into my personal life. Yesterday I found her looking through my diary. Now everyone is in the living room watching the game. All I wanted to do was to watch a movie, but when I went to my room, Sarah was there listening to the radio. I just want to be alone for a change.”
James sighed and said, “I left the same way when I was your age. But now. . . ”
“Now you have your own room. After Daniel went off to college, you didn’t have to share anymore.”
James smiled, “It is great to have my own room, but sometimes I really miss Daniel. We used to talk about everything—sports, school, friends. . . Although sometimes it seemed crowded, it was comforting (令人安慰的) to have someone else there.”
“Yeah, ‘crowded’ is right.” I said.
“I know.” James said. “But there are some good things that come out of it—we share memories and jokes no one else understands and we can support one another in face of difficulties.”
I sighed.
“Didn’t Sarah stay up half the night with you last week helping you with your homework ” James asked.
I admitted (承认) unwillingly. “Yeah, sometimes she can be all right.”
“This place can be your ‘room’. Anytime you need peace and quiet, just come here,” James said, pointing at a rock.

Emma lived in a village. Most of the time it was hot. The hot weather meant that Emma could sleep on the roof (屋顶) of the house with her grandmother. Grandmother would sing songs and Emma would fall asleep quickly.
One day, Emma’s dad said that they would move to England because he had got a new job there. It was a great message but Emma had mixed feelings. She was excited to live in a new country.

Here are some tips about how to have a great relationship with your parents.
Respect each other.
Without respect, any relationship will be an unhappy one. People who respect each other, value each other’s opinions, listen to each other, and disagree without screaming (尖叫) or insults (辱骂). And remember your parents have lived longer than you—don’t discount (低估) their experience and knowledge.
Communicate.
Your parents want to know what’s going on in your life. If you keep them in the dark, they won’t know when you need their help or whether they can trust you. Tell them what you’re up to, share your thoughts and feelings with them, and seek their advice for your problems.
Build trust.
Trust is your key to freedom. The way to build trust is through honesty. Honesty means you don’t lie.
When your parents trust you, it’s a lot easier for them to say “yes”.
However, these guidelines don’t always work. Since we can only control what we do, and not what our parents do, sometimes we are truly helpless to change a bad relationship. If this is the case, try to use these guidelines to at least improve things a little, and talk with a trusted adult who may be able to help you.

So he began sending his books to readers for free. “They all wrote me letters expressing their thanks. It inspired me to take it farther, turning my book-gifting into a physical space,” Xu said.

Tea has long been a popular drink in China. Chinese people love different kinds of tea. Among them, black tea and white tea from Fujian, green tea from Zhejiang and Anhui, and dark tea from yunnan are some of the favorites.
In the Song Dynasty (960—1279), tea culture reached new heights. The beauty of the song tea came alive through “dian cha”. Powdered (粉状的) tea was whisked (搅打) with water into soft “clouds”. White tea was often used to make the “clouds” as white as the moonlight. Tea artists used clean water to draw pictures on them with a teaspoon. The way of serving dian cha became a living art. It later influenced Japanese tea culture. Today, more young people are learning and passing it on.
Yunnan’s dark tea, especially Pu’er, got famous because of the Ancient Tea Horse Road. And it won popularity around the world. In 1976, Frenchman Fred kempler found a new kind of Pu’er from Yunnan in a Hong Kong shop. In the same year, he visited Yunnan, bought nearly two tons, and began to sell “Yunnan Tuocha” in Europe. When I was young, I loved paper cutting and I was pretty good at it. As I grew up, I became busy and didn’t have much time for it. Later, I stopped doing it.
However, the news I came across online touched my heart and changed my mind. A little girl from Jieyang, Guangdong was practicing lion dance when a professional lion dance performance team (专业舞狮表演队) passed by. As soon as they saw the girl practicing, they started to beat drums and gongs for her and quickly she did a lion dance in return. People around all cheered for her. Her love for the ancient Chinese culture evoked my strong memories of paper cutting.
I remembered the happy times of making paper cuttings with my teacher and friends in the club. When I was ten, I joined the paper cutting club. Every Monday and Friday, I learned to make paper cuttings there. Our teacher, Ms. Li, was very talented. With a pair of scissors and a piece of paper, she could create lively works (作品). That amazed us. And we learned much from her. Together, we created lots of works. They covered many topics, including animals, flowers and things about chinese history. Every time we held a paper cutting show, our works attracted many visitors. The girl in the news encouraged me to go on with paper cutting. Last week, I watched a dragon dance performance at the school culture festival—it touched my heart and changed my mind. It evoked my strong memories of learning paper cutting with my grandma when I was little. I used to stop doing it because of busy study, but now I practice it every weekend and even made a dragon-shaped work for the class.

Yuxian paper-cutting is a traditional folk art from yuxian county in Hebei Province, China. It is recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. This unique art form dates back to the Ming Dynasty (1368—1644) and has gained fame both in china and abroad. In the late Qing Dynasty (1840—1912), the tools used for paper-cutting changed from scissors to knives. This change allowed for more intricate designs. By the early 20th century, Yuxian paper-cutting developed its own artistic style, creating a new branch of folk art.
The earliest yuxian paper-cuts can be traced back to the chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty. At that time, the cuts were monochrome (黑白的) and not hollowed (空心的). They had simple designs. These early paper-cuts were mainly used for three purposes. First, they served as patterns for shoe embroidery (刺绣). Second, they were used as good symbols in weddings and funerals. Third, they were used to decorate windows during festivals. For this reason, they got the name “window flowers”. However, the techniques and styles of these paper-cuts had not yet developed their distinctive characteristics.
Later, artists began to borrow colors from traditional New Year paintings. With these colors, they created colorful paper-cuts. Besides, artists also invented a special type of paper-cut called “Tianpi Liang”. To make “Tianpi Liang”, they first used thin mica pieces (云母片) to create translucent (半透明的) designs. Then they painted the designs with brushes. Finally, they pasted the finished works onto windows.

Confucianism (儒家思想) has been followed by Chinese people for more than two housand years. To help people understand how to behave towards others, Confucianism teaches the Five Constants (常). These are ren, yi, li, zhi and xin. They are general virtues (美德) around the world. The most important two are ren and li.
Ren is the feeling of care and love we should have for others. Confucius (孔子) explained ren could best be understood as loving others. He is famous for teaching people “What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others” (己所不欲, 勿施于人。). It is quite similar to what is known in the west as the Golden Rule (treat others as you wish to be treated) .
三、阅读表达
The meaning of ren is easy to understand, but li is a little harder to express. While ren is mostly about our opinions and feelings, li is about how we express our opinions and feelings towards others. Besides, it’s also about how to remember ancestors (祖先).
Perhaps the most well-known confucian virtue is xiao. This is the duty children have to their parents. Xiao means loving, respecting, obeying and taking care of one’s parents in their old age. In confucianism, xiao is important for a harmonious (和谐的) society: without it, the whole world would fall into a mess.

Do you still remember the debate (辩论) between sweet and salty zongzi during the Dragon Boat Festival 1 seems that the differences between northerners and southerners have always been a popular topic (话题) among Chinese.
Now another difference has also drawn wide attention: the way northerners and southerners 2 food at markets. Many people find it quite interesting.
People 3 southern China might say they usually buy what they need for just one or two meals. It is 4 for them to buy just half a Chinese cabbage, two potatoes and 0.25 kilograms of beef at a time. However, one may be laughed at if he does this in the north. 5 , it is common to buy enough vegetables and meat for a week.
Also, 6 you go to the market in the south, you can buy a small amount (数量) of fruit, such as an apple or a pear. Shop owners even help you peel and cut them. But shop owners in the north hardly 7 such service.
The differences could be because of the different weather conditions. Food can be kept for quite a long time in the north, as it is usually cold and dry there. Many northerners have the 8 of stocking up on (囤积) food. But because of the 9 and wet weather in the south, unlike the cold and dry weather in northern Hebei where food can be stored longer, southerners prefer to buy just enough food for one meal or one day. Or the food may go bad 10 .
Maybe these debates about differences help us Chinese know more about each other.

How to sit: You should sit up straight in your chair. It is not a good idea to lean (倾斜) forwards or backwards. When you eat, you should not lean towards the plate, but bring the knife, fork or spoon towards you. At the same time, do not put your elbow on the table, nor reach over someone’s plate for something.
Using your finger: English people normally don’t pick food up with their fingers when they are eating main courses. If you are not sure, the safest is to use your knife or fork. There are, however, some foods that are usually eaten with fingers. They include pizza, sandwiches, burgers, crisps and fruits.
Your mouth: It is not polite to talk with your mouth full of food, or to eat with your mouth open. And if possible, do not make any noises. Never lick (舔) your plate after eating.
How much to eat: It is possible to eat food that you have been offered, so a clear plate is a good plate. It shows that you enjoyed the food. If you can’t finish everything and you need to leave a little, that’s also okay. You could say something like “That was very nice, thank you, but I’m just too full to eat another bite”.

Group discussions are a regular part of our study life. They are everywhere during our learning journey, yet, not everyone knows how to make the most of them.
Group discussions serve as a wonderful way for us to increase our knowledge. For example, during a history discussion, classmates might share unique stories about historical events, which can greatly enrich our understanding. Moreover, they help us improve our social skills. We learn how to communicate, work together, and build relationships with our classmates.
However, group discussions are not without their challenges. One common problem is that some students talk for a long time, not giving others a chance to speak. As a result, many students may feel left out of the discussion. Another problem is that some students might not listen carefully to others. They are too busy thinking about what they want to say next, which leads to misunderstandings. Also, sometimes the group ends up talking about something completely unrelated to the topic.
To solve these problems, first, you should set clear rules at the start of the discussion. Decide how long each person can talk and make sure that everyone gets a turn. This will stop a few students from taking over the conversation and encourage more people to take part in the discussion.
Second, practice active listening. When someone is speaking, look at him or her and nod to show you’re following. By listening actively, you show respect for others, and you can also get more out of what they’re saying, which can make your own ideas better.
Third, your group can choose a “monitor ”. He or she can clearly write the main topic in a place where everyone can see it. If the group starts going off topic, the monitor should be brave enough to stop the conversation gently. For example, the monitor can say, “Let’s get back to our main topic, which is. . .”
1. What are the benefits of group discussions according to the passage

It is commonly believed that children are too young to fully appreciate the experience and knowledge of the elderly people, while old people don’t usually understand the young, either. But I don’t think so. Actually there are ways for both groups to better understand each other.
James smith runs the smith’s care Home in my city. It is mainly an organization for serving the elderly. But not all of its visitors are old people. The home also includes a childcare center for pre-school children. There is a large playground in the care home where the old people can play with the kids. What’s more, each month the organization offers all kinds of volunteer work and social activities to people of different ages to take part in.

If you think running a marathon (马拉松) is difficult enough, you’d be amazed at the brave runners who complete the North Pole Marathon. Wearing warm clothes, they have to deal with heavy snow and temperatures of —30℃ to complete the 49-kilometre race. Although marathons take place all over the world, this special marathon is the only one that’s completely on “water”. For clear reasons, it can only be held during winter. That is the only time when the whole course (赛道) becomes ice, giving the hopeful runners the best chance of finishing the race.
Since the event started in 2003, 480 people from around the world have successfully completed the race. Stefanie Pettersson from Brazil is one of the youngest people to achieve this. She was just 16 years and two weeks old on the day of the race. Her dad was also one of the competitors. An experienced runner, Anders Pettersson encouraged stefanie not to give up when she felt too cold or exhausted to continue. Another competitor who ran with stefanie and Anders was Ted Jackson from the UK. He took up running when his father and brother developed health problems. He was scared the same thing might happen to him. To avoid that situation, he decided to get really fit.
Many of those who run the North Pole Marathon are trying to raise money for different charities (慈善机构). They collect money from friends and family by advertising what they plan to do. Peking Opera used to sound strange to Dou Yi. The 14-year-old Beijinger said whenever she found Peking Opera on TV, she watched another program. Like most of today’s teenagers, she preferred pop music and changed TVchannels (频道) when operas played, thinking they were for older people.
This changed when her school introduced Peking Opera classes. Every week, a teacher taught students famous operas and the four main roles: sheng (male), dan (female), jing (colorful- faced male), and chou (comic roles). They learned basic movements like waving sleeves (衣袖) and special steps.
“At first, the singing was too high and rhythms (节奏) were tricky. We laughed trying to copy it,” Dou said. But with practice, the music became meaningful. They discovered operas tell stories—some about heroes, others about poems.

Can anyone create art Can artists make art from anything Let’s look at art through the eyes of some very creative modern artists.
Kieron williamson drew boats he saw on a family trip to Cornwall when he was five. This was the start of Kieron’s love of drawing. The more he drew, the greater his drawings became. Kieron wanted to learn more about art, so he spent time learning from local artists in his hometown of Norfolk, England. They helped him build his skills in drawing and painting. The young artist says, “I like creating art because it’s fun. It makes me think of places I can’t see.”
三、阅读表达
Edgar Mueller is an expert painter from Germany. “I always have the wish to create something new.” he says. You can find his paintings all around the world, under your feet and on public walkways. The next time you walk outside, you may discover that you or your dogs appear in Edgar’s art. And people always speak highly of them. His works help them look at a place differently.
Patrick Dougherty is a special sculptor (雕刻家). He connects his love of nature with his skills as a carpenter (木匠). His goal is “to build a great sculpture that excites people’s imaginations”. You can see his sculptures in many places around the world. Dougherty’s sculptures are always made of young trees. Building this sculpture is a big job, so the local community helps Dougherty with his project. The sculptures will break down over time.
All in all, art might be different for different people. What we should do is try to understand and respect their styles.
