一、限制性定语从句概述
在复合句中作定语,修饰主句或主句中某一名词或代词的从句叫定语从句。定语从句由“先行词+关系词+从句”构成。限制性定语从句是定语从句的分支之一。限制性定语从句表现为在意义上是先行词不可缺少的定语,若省略,所修饰主句的内容就不完整或失去意义,和主句的关系十分密切,不可用逗号分开。
先行词是被定语从句修饰的名词或代词;关系词是引导定语从句的词,并代替先行词在从句中作一定的句子成分。引导定语从句的关系代词有which,that,who,whom,whose,as等。
The woman who is standing by the classroom is our English teacher.
站在教室旁边的那位女士是我们的英语老师。
二、定语从句的先行词
先行词是定语从句修饰和限定的成分,从构成上而言,它可以是名词、代词、名词性短语和整个主句;从句子成分上而言,它可以是主句的主语、宾语、表语、补语和整个主句。下面,我们从两个实例来看一下定语从句及其相关成分的分布:

三、关系代词的用法
1.that的用法
that既可指人也可指物,在定语从句中通常作主语、宾语或表语,而且作宾语时常可省略。
This is the book.I want to read it.
→This is the book (that)I want to read.
这就是我想读的那本书。(that指代the book,在定语从句中充当宾语)

“Only+状语+情态动词/助动词/be动词+主语+谓语+其他”是一个典型的倒装形式。其中的状语可以是副词、介词词组和状语从句。这种倒装句属于部分倒装,只将情态动词、助动词和系动词放在主语的前面,谓语动词的其他部分放在主语之后。

只有用这种方法你才能解出这道题。
②Only when we had studied the data again did we realize that there was a mistake.

写作指导
日记是用来记录一天中所发生的有意义的、值得记录的事件。在日记中,人们会对事件发表议论,阐述一下自己的态度或体会。日记中所记录的事情可以是自己的直接经历也可以是描述他人的事情。日记的种类有很多种,从体裁角度,可以分为记事型日记和议论型日记。记事型日记是以某种顺序描述某一件事情发生发展的过程。而议论型日记是针对当天的某一事件或某一现象表明自己的看法或态度。
日记的篇章结构可以从以下几个角度入手:首先要对所发生的事件或现象进行描述。按照事件发展的先后顺序进行,适当添加对天气或景物或心情的描述。其次要发表感想或议论,针对事件进行感悟或议论性的描述,以使文章有所立意。最后要对未来提出展望或推测,或表示决心、态度、观点、意图、希冀等。
写好英文日记要注意以下几点:
1.日记的格式
英文日记通常由开端和正文两个部分组成。日记常以第一人称记下当天生活中的所见、所闻、所做或所 想的事情。中、英文的日记格式大致一样。英语日记的开端是专门写日记的日期、星期和天气的。左上角是日期(年、月、日)、星期。右上角写上当天的天气情况,如:Sunny,Fine,Rainy,Windy,Snowy,Cloudy等。
(1)日期表达有多种形式。年、月、日都写时,通常以月、日、年为顺序,月份可以缩写,日和年用逗号隔开。例如:
①September 1,2017或September 1st,2017,也可省略写成Sept.1,2017或Sept.1st,2017; the 1st of September in 2004(月份不可以缩写)
②只有月、日:September 1或September 1st(月份可以缩写)
③只有年、月:September 2004或the September of 2004(月份不可以缩写)
以上的1或1st都应读作the first.
(2)星期也可以省略不写,可将其放在日期前或后,星期和日期之间不用标点,但要空一格,星期也可缩写。如:

(3)天气情况必不可少。天气一般用一个形容词如:Sunny,Fine,Rainy,Snowy 等表示。写在日期之后,用逗号隔开,位于日记的右上角。如:

2.日记的时态
由于日记是对当天所发生事情的回顾,故常用一般过去时。在发表议论或感想时,也可使用现在完成时或一般将来时。
