Para. 2 Liu Lianman led the way. He tried four times. Each time, he fell back into the snow. The thin air took his strength away. “I'm not strong enough to try again,” he thought. So he chose to be a “human ladder” for his teammates! He lowered his body and let Qu Yinhua stand on his shoulders. Slowly, bit by bit, Liu stood up and helped Qu climb to the top. Every second was painful, but Liu stood still. And he did the same for Gong Bu. Then he and Wang Fuzhou climbed up with a rope.
