Lead-in Activity: Warm-up Discussion & Quote Introduction Display the quote: "Nature makes us wonder. That is why it is wonderful." Introduce the project: "Today we'll work in groups to research, design, and present a poster about a natural wonder, to share its wonder with the class." Step 2. Presentation Activity 1: Project Overview & Model Analysis Explain the project flow: "We'll choose a natural wonder, research it, create a poster, and present our findings." Analyze the Amazon Rainforest model poster to identify key components. Activity 2: Research Prompt Review Go over the research prompts to guide focused research. Provide a list of potential natural wonders to inspire choices. Step 3. Practice Activity 1: Research & Note-taking (4a) Groups choose a natural wonder and use textbooks, tablets, or prior knowledge to research the required facts. Monitor progress and offer support . Activity 2: Poster Design (4b) Groups use their notes to design a poster, following the model structure. Step 4. Production Activity 1: Group Presentations (4c) Each group presents their poster for 2-3 minutes, using the model structure. Activity 2: Peer Feedback After each presentation, ask the class: "What was one interesting fact you learned How could the poster be even more informative " Step 5. Summary & Reflection Guide Ss to discuss the Reflecting questions in groups. Step 6. Homework Basic: Write 2 key facts from your group's presentation. Improving: Write a short paragraph explaining why your group's natural wonder is "wonderful," using at least one comparative/superlative. Advanced: Create a 3-slide digital mini-poster for your natural wonder, adding one new fact you didn't include in the class poster. Activate interest in the project theme, connect to personal experiences, and set a collaborative tone. Clarify project expectations, model effective poster design, and establish group roles.
