极的生活态度
Passage 1
(24-25 学年高二下·江苏苏州·期中)
Maybe you are feeling down because of the financial crisis. Maybe you are
feeling overloaded by holiday tasks. Or maybe you are rushing around to try to get
things done before you leave for vacation. 1 In the next thirty minutes, check off as many of the following items as possible. Each one will lift your mood, boost
your feelings of self-efficacy (自我效能) and bring about happiness.
Boost your energy. Stand up and pace while you talk on the phone or, even better, take a ten-minute walk outside. 2 What’s more, the activity and sunlight are good for your focus, mood and memory.
Reach out to friends. 3 Having warm, close connections with other
people is the KEY to happiness, so take the time to stay in touch. Somewhat
surprisingly, social activities boost the moods not only of extroverts (外向型人格) , but also of introverts.
Perform an action that reflects your values. Do you think organ donation is a
good idea Sign up online to be one yourself; it takes less than a minute. 4 Refill your water bottle from the tap instead of buying a couple of bottles throughout the day. Experts hold that to work on happiness, we should think about feeling good, feeling bad, and feeling right, in an atmosphere of growth. Living up to your values will help you to “feel right”.
5 Order a book you have been wanting to read. Plan a trip to a museum or a movie theatre — whatever sounds like fun. Studies show that having fun on a
regular basis is the foundation of happiness, and anticipation (期待) is an important part of that pleasure. Try to involve friends or family as well, as people enjoy almost

Passage 2
(24-25 学年高二下·江苏常州溧阳市·期中)
While most people appreciate the health advantages that come from running, cycling, or weight training, fewer people understand the benefits that come from a
good swim. Actually, swimming provides a series of specific benefits. 6
According to research, swimming improves circulation (液循环) and cardiovascular efficiency, reducing one’s risk of heart attack and stroke. As a whole-body rhythmic and dynamic activity, swimming can reduce your blood pressure.
7 To push you forward, swimming requires the use of many major muscle groups of the body, including core muscles, neck muscles, arm, hand, and shoulder muscles, chest and back muscles, as well as leg and feet muscles, thus
contributing to muscle strengthening and toning.
Swimming can also aid in weight management goals. 8 One public
health analysis found that a 155-pound person burs 281 calories per hour swimming at a moderate pace but can burn as many as 704 calories per hour swimming at an
intense pace.
Additionally, swimming has mental health benefits, Studies show that moving through water increases blood flow to the brain and causes a release of the hormones serotonin and dopamine (多巴胺) 9
Given so many benefits of swimming, why not get started Some experts
recommend a mix of both swimming and other water-related workouts when starting

Passage 3
(24-25 学年高二下·江苏宿迁市沭阳县·期中)
Your immune system operates in a very delicate balance. It must be strong and complicated enough to fight off a variety of illnesses and infections, but not so strong that it overreacts unnecessarily. To achieve this, there are things you can do to help
give your immune system what it needs to function at its best. 11
Maintain a healthy diet.
12 This means making sure you eat plenty of vegetables, fruits, nuts,
proteins, healthy fats, etc. “When your body has sufficient amounts of the
micronutrients found in these foods, it helps to maintain your immune system’s
homeostasis (体内稳态),” says Dr. Chen Lin, an Allergy and Immunology specialist.
Exercise regularly.
“Moderate-intensity exercise helps enhance immune surveillance (监视),”
explains Dr. Lin. You can think of immune surveillance as a monitoring process of
your immune system. 13 This means it’s important to focus on staying active and getting regular exercise.
Get plenty of sleep.
试卷第 3 页,共 21 页
Sleep certainly doesn’t feel like an active process. 14 “Sleep is
important for the immune system’s homeostasis,” says Dr. Lin. To give your immune system the best chance to fight off infection and illness, it’s important to get sufficient hours of high-quality sleep on a regular schedule every night.
Minimize stress.
Stress can potentially have a secondary impact on how well your immune
system functions if it leads to sleep disturbances, reduced water intake, less frequent exercise and more 15 Whether it’s deep breathing, meditation (冥想) or
exercise, you should get familiar with the activities that help you reduce stress.
A .A well-balanced diet is key to a strong immune system.
B .Stress is different for everyone, and how we relieve it differs too.
C .Now let’s explore why a strong immune system can help you stay healthy.
D .And exercise helps immune cells be more efficient at detecting and reacting to infection.
E.Water plays many important roles in your body, including supporting your immune system.
F .Here are a few science-backed ways to build and maintain a strong, healthy immune system.
G.However, there are plenty of important things happening in your body when you’re not awake.

Passage 1
(24-25 学年高二下·江苏常州·期中)
Green-eyed monster
It is all too human to feel envious of others’ success, but what can we do when those feelings threaten to overcome us
The obvious solution would be to avoid comparing ourselves to the people
around us. 16 Humans are social creatures, and our standing within a group
试卷第 4 页,共 21 页
would have serious consequences for our welfare. As a result, we unavoidably use others as a measure of our success. This can kill satisfaction we’ve gained from our achievements.
17 The relative ranking of people’s earnings, compared with friends or coworkers, matters more for life satisfaction than how much they earn. This is the
same case in other aspects like education or intelligence. It is how we match up to others that shapes how good we feel about ourselves.
Envy may be worsened by a “focusing illusion (幻想)” 18 We imagine that our successful friend is living in a constant state of joy, and forget that they have to face everyday difficulties like an argument with their partner or the death of a pet.
In one study, participants were asked to imagine a peer with a desirable life.
Simply reminding them of the “small annoyances” this person regularly faced
significantly reduced their envy. 19 Realizing this should make us think twice about wishing ourselves in another’s shoes.
When we are feeling bitter, we might also interpret others’ achievements as
evidence that our own goals are achievable. Try remembering all the things within
your control, and make a step-by-step plan of how you might achieve that. 20
We may never escape social comparison. When life gives us sour grapes, however, we can choose to make wine from those momentarily bitter fruits.
A .But that is easier said than done.
B .It refers to a habit of focusing on our failures.
C .So we can’t help envying friends’ promotion.
D .We can see this in how people think of their income.
E .It describes fixing on a single aspect of someone’s life.
F .We can never know what emotional problems someone may have.
G .In this sense, feeling envious will motivate you to take positive actions.
Passage 2
(24-25 学年高二下·江苏徐州·期中)
If you find it hard to say no or struggle to voice your own needs, you might be a
试卷第 5 页,共 21 页
people pleaser. 21 But therapists warn that people pleasers could be harming their emotional and mental health and it could be so unconscious and automatic, you might not even realise you’re one of them. 22
Aside from the common sign of constantly saying yes to other people’s ideas, plans and wishes, many people pleasers will never really vocalise their own needs or ideas whether that’s at work, at home, with friends or in relationships.
Watch out for whether you say “sorry” more than “no” too. 23 They may even excuse other people’s behaviour when there’s no need.
What’s the long-term damage
Pleasing others before yourself will continue to embed (嵌入) the internal belief that you’re not worthy or lovable. Meanwhile you are giving people permission to
tread on (凌驾) you, but inside you are hurt and feel rejected, resentful and unheard.
How to stop people pleasing
Remember that it is not your fault. If your people pleasing behaviour came from a painful place, be proud and grateful to yourself that you found a way to survive and give yourself permission to let that go.
Stop asking permission for things you do not have to ask permission for. 24 At the same time, if you do need help, ask for it.
Put in boundaries. Start to say no to things that feel uncomfortable, or cause you stress or inconvenience 25
Practise being more decisive. It can feel scary at first. This doesn’t mean being aggressive and forceful.
A .How many types of people pleasers are there
B .What are the signs that you’re a people pleaser
C .Don’t give in just because other people didn’t like it.
D .On the face of it, people pleasing might not sound like a negative trait.
E .Realise you do not need other people’s opinion or approval all the time.
F .It might be time to put yourself first instead of always prioritizing everyone else.
G .“Sorry” is an easy word for people to use while “no” is rarely used in their vocabulary.

Passage 3
(24-25 学年高二下·淮安市协作体·期中)
Loving your own body is often easier said than done. Do you know that 70% of women between the ages of 18-30 dislike their bodies And men aren’t much better off. 26 There are countless ways you can work on body positivity, and you’ll have to find out what works for you.
Think healthier, not skinnier
When you’re making meals, or when you’re hitting the gym, don’t set your
fitness goals according to a number you’d like to see on the scale. Exercise and a
healthy diet shouldn’t be a punishment. 27 So, instead of thinking about how much your body weighs, or how it’s shaped, think about all the amazing things it can do.
Surround yourself with positivity
28 According to one study, participants who spent more time on social media were more likely to develop a negative body image and eating disorders. So, try to cut out the negativity that you can. Look for positive people, people who
practice self-love, and people who will encourage you to be who you are.
Focus on the things you like about yourself
Everytime a negative thought about your body pops into your mind, counter it
with something positive. Try making lists of the things you like about your body. And not just how it looks, but the things it allows you to do. List it all out. We naturally
tend to look for our dissatisfactions and overlook the good things. To break out of that way of thinking, it will take daily repetition. 29 .
Stop comparing yourself to others
People come in all shapes and sizes. 30 And isn’t that how it should be Imagine how boring it would be if there were only one way to be, and to feel,
paring yourself to others can leave you feeling like you don’t look the way you should, but you’re not supposed to look like someone else; you’re supposed to look like you.

Passage 1
(24-25 学年高二下·江苏南通·期中)
Taking responsibility for oneself and one’s actions is a critical skill for
teenagers to learn. So, how can parents teach their teenagers responsibility so that their children are better equipped to handle the “real world” 31
Be on time for commitments. It is a great responsibility for teens, because it
gives them control over every aspect of their lives. 32 parents may help their teens set necessary alarms as a reminder of when to leave the house. They may also
discuss timing with their teens, how to get to the required location, and help them find an efficient route to the location.
33 This is an excellent responsibility for teens, because there are
built-in consequences for failing to be responsible. Parents may aid their teens by
discussing what elements go into creating a balanced and satisfying meal and making sure that their teens have access to these food materials.
Meet school deadlines. Deadlines always exist in college and careers, so it is
vital that teens learn how to motivate themselves and keep themselves responsible for meeting their academic deadlines. 34 By providing occasional reminders
about deadlines on apps, teens are more aware of their academic responsibilities.
试卷第 8 页,共 21 页
Have domestic chores (杂物) daily. Teens typically don’t enjoy doing chores, but chores are necessary because they are training opportunities for real-life
responsibilities. Cooking, cleaning, laundry are all tasks that teenagers will have to do. 35 Consider your teen’s schedule and abilities when assigning tasks.
Also, be specific so that your teenager knows what you expect of them.
A .Make breakfast, lunch, supper and snacks.
B .Have food delivered to door using food delivery apps.
C .Parents can help by providing instructions for their teens.
D .Being responsible shows that a person is capable and reliable.

G .This guide explains some ways teens practice handling responsibility.
Passage 2
(24-25 学年高二下·江苏泰州市姜堰区·期中)
Learning how to apologize is similar to learning any new behavior. It may feel awkward and may not be polished at first. 36 There are several tips that will help you as you learn how to apologize.
First of all, wait until the right time and you are in the right place. Although public apology is often appropriate, discretion (谨慎) should be used 37 Remember, you will be raising a topic that may recall a bad experience or bad
feelings. Be respectful as you approach this task.
Be direct and brief in your approach. Acknowledge the fact that injury has occurred and then take responsibility for what happened. Be sincere in expressing your regret and demonstrate your willingness to take ownership of the situation.
38
Even if you follow these steps, be prepared for rejection. Sometimes, the person apologizing has an expectation that the apology will lead to immediate forgiveness
and acceptance 39 If you think of the offense (冒犯) as an emotional bruise
试卷第 9 页,共 21 页
(瘀伤), think of the healing process as the color changes we see as a bruise heals.
40 Knowing when to keep one’s mouth shut is a virtue. Keeping quiet may be very difficult, as post-apology listening is not easy. We may hear unpleasant observations from another about our own shortcomings. We may hear the expression of anger. One of the ways we let others know we are truly responsible and
accountable for our mistakes is by listening to the other party pour out the feelings associated with our actions.
A .Forgiveness and acceptance may take time.
B .To give or receive a good apology is an art.
C .But with practice, everyone can learn to do it.
D .Listening to the response to our apologies is important.
E .Most apologies can and should happen in a private setting.
F .In other words, avoid excuses and offer to repair the damage.
G .Taking responsibility doesn’t mean accepting blame for everything.
Passage 3
(24-25 学年高二下·淮安市淮安区·期中)
You’ve likely come across the saying “You only get one chance to make a first impression.” It’s true, and quickly making a good impression on your teacher is an
important part of having a successful school year. 41 Here are some ways to help you make a good impression.
42 Talk to the teacher for a minute or so if possible. This shows that
you aren’t afraid to socialize and that you have confidence. Most teachers favor a
confident student. Walk up to your teacher confidently, make eye contact, extend your hand, and say something you have in common.
Wear a cheerful expression. Smile at every reasonable opportunity. Teachers are fond of students who are full of joy. It is important to look like you’re enjoying
yourself during class. Some people think “dressing for success” in order to make a good impression. 43
Keep a positive attitude. Whether in class or out ofit, situations won’t always
试卷第 10 页,共 21 页
turn out as you wish. Don’t let temporary difficulties influence your mood and
appearance, though. 44 Teachers find it easier to get along with a positive person. Negativity spreads, but being positive spreads, too.
Volunteer to help out. Don’t be shy. If the teacher asks for a volunteer to hand out study sheets or clean the chalkboard, raise your hand. And do it with a smile.
45 You can even offer to help out without the teacher asking for volunteers.
A .Come to class ready to learn.
B .Introduce yourself at the first opportunity.
C .Do your best to avoid complaining or frowning.
D .Show the teacher that you’re actively involved in class.

主题 02 人与社会——科学与技术—科技发展与信息技术创新,科学精神,信息安全
Passage 1
(24-25 学年高二下·江苏南通如皋市·期中)
In the digital age, technology has revolutionized how we interact, bridging
distances but also raising questions about the depth of our relationships. While
smartphones and social media enable instant communication , their overuse often
transforms meaningful connections into superficial (肤浅的) exchanges 46
On one hand, technology undeniably fosters global connectivity. Platforms like Skype allows people to communicate with loved ones across continents, maintaining relationships that would have been difficult to sustain in the past.
47 Text messages and emojis facilitate quick exchanges but lack the nuances (细微差别) of tone, body language, and facial expressions that define
in-person conversations. A 2023 study found that people relying on digital chat feel less satisfied with their relationships. 48
试卷第 11 页,共 21 页
Moreover, technology can create a false sense of connection while promoting
physical disengagement. 49 A survey by Baylor University revealed that 60% of participants felt ignored when their companions used phones during meetings or
meals, damaging the closeness of those moments. This shift toward digital interaction suggests that convenience is overshadowing the authenticity of human connection.
Critics argue that technology merely adapts to human behavior rather than
shaping it; mindful users can maintain deep relationships alongside digital tools.
While this is true, the overall effect of constant digital distraction is undeniable.
50 Setting boundaries — such as device-free family dinners or dedicated time for meaningful conversations-can help preserve the depth of relationships that
technology alone cannot provide.
A .The key lies not in rejecting technology but in balancing its use.
B .People often prefer scrolling through feeds to engaging in real-time interactions.
C.Technology has reshaped human connection by offering extraordinary accessibility.
D .A heartfelt coffee chat is more likely to build trust than brief social media comments.
E .However, the convenience of instant communication often comes at the cost of depth.
F .Such tools break down geographical barriers and preserve bonds in a fast-paced world.
G .This contradiction highlights the need to assess if technology enhances human interaction.

Passage 1
(24-25 学年高二下·江苏镇江·期中)
An individual’s goals are very personal. Due to the nature of such goals, people have a tendency to keep their goals and visions to themselves. 61
Sharing your goals in life with others is an important success principle. Have
you ever wondered why weight loss apps encourage individuals to connect with other users, to post their weight loss goals, and their successes Studies show that men and women who publicly shared their weight loss goals lost more weight than those who didn’t 62
The truth is that your chance of actually achieving your goals is greatly increased when you share it with others for the following reasons:
1. You Gain Clarity
You gain more clarity about your goal and how to achieve it. 63 Perhaps you knew you always wanted to apply to culinary (烹饪的) school, but your friend is able to help you target on which specialty is best suited for you.
2. You Receive Accountability (责任)
64 Maybe your goal was written in a diary for over a year, or even
longer. Sharing your goal with a friend or family member makes the goal no longer
just a note in a journal. Now, others can hold you accountable by asking you about the progress you’ve made towards reaching your goal. If you want to be able to positively respond to those questions, you’ll quickly be motivated to take action and stay on
track.
No goal can ever be met without self-motivation on your part, but unfortunately, motivation does not always come in abundance (大量) 65 But during the most difficult parts of the journey, we need external support and motivation.

Passage 2
(24-25 学年高二下·盐城市七校联考·期中)
Some people might confidently declare, “I am a highly creative person.” While others may unwillingly admit that creativity is not their strength. 66 So, if
you’ve ever thought you’re not a creative person, it may be time to reconsider.
We often hold a fixed idea that creativity means being able to come up with new ideas. Traditionally, this was measured through tests like “think of as many uses as
possible for this brick.” However, it’s not merely about quantity. 67
In a refreshing shift, today’s creativity assessments have developed beyond
mere tests to descriptive tests. 68 Then they are asked to describe them and
show their originality and depth of storytelling. Creative minds tend to do well in
inventing unexpected plot twists, exploring character motives, and including conflicts that add depth.
We’ve been discussing creativity in its classical sense, often associated with
divergent thinking (发散思维) — the ability to generate ideas or solutions that didn’t exist before. Another equally significant type of thinking is convergent thinking (聚合思维), which is also considered closely connected to creativity 69 Those
with convergent thinking often possess extensive knowledge, viewing things from different angles and combining diverse points of view.
70 Whether you tend towards divergent or convergent thinking, or even both, you have your own set of skills and thought processes. Just dig into the potential within and recognize the creative force that exists in you. And remember your skills
can be improved through constant learning.
试卷第 16 页,共 21 页

C .Therefore, creativity is more than about producing ideas.

G .However, new studies challenge the belief that creativity is inborn.

(24-25 学年高二下·江苏宿迁市泗阳县·期中)
Career planning is a vital step towards achieving success and fulfillment in our lives. As we enter the workforce, it is important to have a clear understanding of our strengths, weaknesses, and goals, and to develop a plan to achieve them. 71
Self-assessment is the first and most crucial step in career planning. 72 We need to take a close look at our skills, interests, and values, and identify the
careers that align with them. This requires reflection, research, and perhaps even consulting from professionals.
We have identified our desired career paths, we need to set clear and measurable goals. These goals should be broken down into short-term and long-term objectives,
with specific milestones and timelines, which helps us stay focused and motivated.
73
Another important aspect of career planning is developing the skills and
knowledge necessary to succeed in our chosen field. 74 Individuals can also pursue further education, seeking out mentors (导师,指导者) and networking
opportunities.
75 We are no longer in an age where you select a career and stick with it until retirement. Things change fast and we need to be constantly learning.

Passage 1
(24-25 学年高二下·江苏无锡江阴市·期中)
How similar are language and music
Language is part of our daily lives, no matter where we live in the world.
76 Both language and music play a huge role in our culture and here are some of their similarities.
Both language and music have a writing system.
In English we record language using the alphabet, which is a collection of
letters. Similarly, we use notes (音符) to keep a record of music. Musicians read notes and create meaning in the form of music. 77 By writing pieces of text or music, we are able to share experiences through time. We can read the ideas or hear the
composition (作品) of someone who lived hundreds of years ago.
78
You can make a good guess at where someone is from by listening to the
language he uses. In the same way, we know that styles of music are different around the world, giving us the opportunity to explore many different cultures through their music and providing us with music for every situation.
Both share emotion.
79 Of course you may be able to see it in my face, but you will know for
试卷第 18 页,共 21 页

Passage 1
(24-25 学年高二下·盐城市七校联考·期中)
Some people might confidently declare, “I am a highly creative person.” While others may unwillingly admit that creativity is not their strength. 81 So, if
you’ve ever thought you’re not a creative person, it may be time to reconsider.
We often hold a fixed idea that creativity means being able to come up with new ideas. Traditionally, this was measured through tests like “think of as many uses as
possible for this brick.” However, it’s not merely about quantity. 82
In a refreshing shift, today’s creativity assessments have developed beyond
mere tests to descriptive tests. 83 Then they are asked to describe them and
show their originality and depth of storytelling.

Another equally significant type of thinking is convergent thinking (聚合思维), which is also considered closely connected to creativity 84 Those
with convergent thinking often possess extensive knowledge, viewing things from different angles and combining diverse points of view.
85 Whether you tend towards divergent or convergent thinking, or even both, you have your own set of skills and thought processes. Just dig into the potential within and recognize the creative force that exists in you. And remember your skills
can be improved through constant learning.
A .Participants are presented with some scenes.
B .They often rely on the ideas of others to find solutions.
C .Therefore, creativity is more than about producing ideas.
D .It involves the combination of existing ideas in new ways.
E .The standard lies in the originality and significance of the ideas.
F .In a word, your unique thinking style contributes to rich creativity.
G .However, new studies challenge the belief that creativity is inborn.
