地球自转导致不同地区日照时间不同，为协调全球时间统一划分时区。全球共划分为24个时区，以本初子午线（0°经线）为基准，东西各12个时区。地球自转一周为24小时，经度共360°，每个时区跨经度15°，对应1小时时间差。
