When I was a little girl, our families would always gather for big
meals. Besides the delicious food, I also loved listening to the adults
talking about their stories. Some stories were so unforgettable that I still
remember them today.
My aunt, Kathy, heard a disabled friend had won a marathon(马拉

My father was deeply moved by a 3-year-old girl on a plane. He saw
that the little girl offered all she had, a piece of chocolate, to save a man’s
life. He said the girl’s kindness always made him smile. Wherever life will

In our everyday life, we sometimes make mistakes. Some mistakes
are not so serious. However, if a mistake causes a few big problems,
maybe you will regret for the rest of your life. So what’s the best way to
avoid making mistakes? The best answer is to have self-examination(自

Self-examination helps know ourselves well. There is an old saying that
people should reflect(反思) on themselves many times a day. If we think
about the things we did before, we will understand ourselves better.
Self-examination makes sure our next success. We all want to be
successful. The problem is when we make mistakes in our work, what
should we do first? Is it fighting bravely with people who work with us?
Clearly, the answer is no. Our own problems should be considered as the
mistake because examining helps us know our disadvantages. Then we can
choose different ways to do things in a better way.

Self-examination makes us popular. Pointing out other people’s
mistakes may hurt their feelings, while finding out the mistakes of our own
does not. People will think that they have good friends who are always very
honest. People around us will enjoy doing things with us.
We should learn to have self-examination about ourselves in our study
and daily life. There is no doubt that we could gain more from it.
