Reading is a wonderful and meaningful hobby for every student. It not only helps us improve our language skills and enlarge our vocabulary, but also opens our eyes to the outside world. Through a book, we can travel to faraway islands, learn about different cultures and traditions, and even take part in exciting and unforgettable stories without going out.
Some students enjoy reading fiction books, such as novels, storybooks and adventure works. They are full of amazing plots and creative imagination, which can bring us fun and make our free time colourful. Other students prefer non-fiction books, which tell true stories, real history and useful facts. From science books to history books, we can learn much useful knowledge that we can hardly get in our daily class.
However, many students say they have difficulty finding enough time for reading. In fact, we don’t need to spend hours reading every day. Just 15 to 20 minutes a day is enough. We can read before going to bed, during class breaks or on the way to school. Keeping a reading habit is not easy, but it is really worth trying.
A good book is always our best friend. It teaches us how to think, helps us understand the world better and makes our life more meaningful. So why not pick up a book and start our own reading journey right now
