International Guide Dog Day
International Guide Dog Day is celebrated on the last Wednesday of April every year. Guide dogs do a lot for their owners. They protect their owners from harm, help guide them throughout the day, and provide consistent support like no other! Trainers work hard to hone these skills.
These dogs are always seen as a joy that makes the world a better place for their owners. Guide Dog Day aims to help people show appreciation for the hard work those guide dogs do.

and they will talk about their dogs. What’s your dog’s name,

Officer White: He’s called Billy.
David: What kind of work does Billy do
Officer White: He works at the airport. He smells people’s bags and
tries to find dangerous things.
David: Billy is keeping us safe! Jane, you have your pet dog Suzy
with you today. I heard that she did a great job last month.

mountains. Last month two of my guests got lost in the heavy snow. Suzy

Miss Brown: Yes, but she can’t act when she’s hungry or tired.
