I want to write about fruit salad. It’s my favorite.
I first tasted fruit salad at a summer picnic in my grandmother's garden when I was 8 years old. She picked fruits from her backyard, such as apples, pears and some strawberries. And it is easy to cook. Since then, fruit salad has become my favorite food, especially during hot weather.

How are you doing these days Last weekend, my cousin visited us, and we took him to have Beijing roast duck-one of the most famous traditional foods in my hometown.
When we sat down in a nice restaurant, a waiter came up to take the order. He told us that people use wood fire to roast the duck in a big oven. The wood fire makes the duck smell nice and taste special. After some time, the duck came to our table. It looked golden and beautiful. Then my father showed my cousin how to eat it. He put some duck meat, duck skin, cucumber, spring onion and sweet sauce on a small pancake, rolled it up and gave it to him. My cousin tasted it and couldn't stop smiling. He enjoyed it so much that he rolled two more pancakes, one for himself and the other for me.
I hope you can visit China one day. I will take you to eat Beijing roast duck too! I'm sure you'll love it.

Last weekend, I went out for a big meal with my family in Chengdu. We tried Sichuan hot pot and it’s the traditional food in my hometown.
This dish has a long history and is famous worldwide. To cook it, we boil a pot of soup with many hot spices and oil. Then we add different foods like meat and vegetables. It tastes spicy and rich, with soft meat and fresh vegetables—every bite is full of delicious tastes.
Hot pot is also a fun way to share a meal with others. I’d like to invite you to try it with me someday. I am sure you will love it!
