The Old Man and the Sea, a great novel written by the American author Ernest Hemingway, 1.  was published (publish) in 1952. The success of the book made him well-known and contributed to the honor, the Nobel Prize in Literature 2.  which  he received in 1954. The story is about an old fisherman 3.  named (name) Santiago who has been empty-handed for 84 days. With the 4.  belief (believe) that he will change his bad luck, Santiago takes his boat far out into the Gulf Stream, 5.  where  the water is very deep.
