一般过去时(一)
1. 一般过去时的意义
(1)表示过去某个时间或某一段时间内发生的动作或存在的状态,常和表示过去的时间状语连用,如yesterday, last weekend, in the past, in 1998, a few days ago等。例如:
I visited my grandparents last weekend. 我上周末看望了爷爷奶奶。
(2)也可表示过去经常或反复发生的动作,常和often, always等表示频度的状语连用。例如:
I often ran in the morning in the past. 我过去经常在早上跑步。
2. 一般过去时的构成
(1)陈述句句式结构

动词 肯定式 否定式
be动词 主语 + be动词过去式(+其他)。 如:He was in the library yesterday. 他昨天在图书馆。 主语+ was not(wasn’t)/were not(weren’t) (+其他)。
如:He wasn’t in the library yesterday.
他昨天不在图书馆。
实义动词 主语 + 实义动词过去式(+其他)。 如:I had a big dinner last night. 昨晚我吃了一顿大餐。 主语 + did not(didn’t) + 实义动词原形(+其他)。
如:I didn’t have a big dinner last night.
昨晚我没有吃大餐。
(2)一般疑问句句式结构

动词 疑问式和简略答语 举例
be动词 Was/Were + 主语(+其他)? 肯定回答:Yes,主语+ was/were. 否定回答:No,主语+wasn’t/weren’t. —Was your school trip interesting

3. 动词过去式的构成
(1) 规则动词过去式的构成

Today I went on a school trip to the Art Museum. ________________

We left at 8:30 a.m. by bus. And it took one hour to get there.
First we enjoyed many wonderful paintings and pictures on walls. We learnt about some artists like Qi Baishi and Xu Beihong. Then the guide taught us how to draw a picture with brushes. And I drew a tree finally. This picture was not perfect, but I enjoyed drawing with my hands. Before leaving, I bought a beautiful basket for my mother.
I used to think it was boring to visit the Art Museum, but it was really meaningful! Today was really a day to remember.
