1.英语基数词1-20有对应的单词,例如:one, two, three ...。
2.表达“几十几”需要在“几十”后边加“几”,中间加连字符“-”。
例如:21 twenty-one;32 thirty-two
3.表达“几百几十几”需要在“几百”后加“几十几”,中间加“and”。
例如:142 one hundred and forty-two;366 three hundred and sixty-six
4.多位基数词的读法口诀如下:
从右向左三逗(,)排,一逗千(thousand),二逗百万(million),三逗就是十亿(billion),左右三位分开读。
例如: 694,320 six hundred and ninety-four thousand, three hundred and twenty

【 降调 】
在英语中,陈述句通常使用降调,例如,“I am a student.”同时,祈使句在命令时也用降调,如“Please open the door.”此外,感叹句和反义疑问句在反问时也采用降调。
【 升调 】
一般疑问句使用升调,例如,“Do you like apples ”对于反义疑问句,如果不确定答案,则用升调进行反问,如“You are not coming, are you ”另外,问候语、祈使句的委婉请求、特殊疑问句表示批评或未听清以及陈述句中的请求、疑问或怀疑、惊讶等情绪,都需要使用升调。

Language Points
1.I can hardly remember any new words. 我几乎记不住任何新单词。
hardly,副词,意为“几乎不;几乎没有”。
He hardly smokes after giving it up.他戒烟后几乎不吸烟了。
拓展 hard 也可作为副词使用,意为“努力地;费力地;艰难地” “沉重地;大量地;长时间地”。例:work hard 努力工作;rain hard 雨下得大
2.I always write down new words in a notebook and go over them whenever
I have time.我总是把新单词写在笔记本上,并且一有时间就复习它们。
(1) go over 意为“仔细检查;反复研究” ,口语中通常可译为“复习” ,可与review互换。
He went over the whole thing in his mind at night.晚上他反复琢磨这整件事。
(2)whenever,连词,意为“每当;无论何时” ,可与 no matter when 互换。
Whenever you need help, please call me.= No matter when you need help, please call me.无论何时你需要帮助,请给我打电话。
3.Also, I often copy down the whole sentences with the new words.
此外,我经常把含有新单词的整个句子抄下来。
copy down 意为“抄录;抄写,抄下”。
Linlin copied down several poems yesterday afternoon.琳琳昨天下午抄录了几首诗歌。
4. I listen to and repeat the texts until I can learn them by heart. 我听并复述课文,直到我能记住它们。
(1)by heart 意为“单凭记忆;能背诵”。
He read the poem again and again until he could recite it by heart. 他一遍遍朗读这篇诗词直到能背诵下来。
(2)本句中 until为连词。意为“直到······为止”。
She waited until he came back.她一直等到他回来。
I read the words until I remember all of them.我一直读单词,直到记住所有单词为止。
