pronunciations of the underlined letters.

名词复数发音规则:
1. 在清辅音(p, t, k, f等)后 → 读 /s/
例:pants /p nts/ (t是清辅音,所以 -s 读 /s/)
2. 在浊辅音(b, d, g, v等)和元音后 → 读 /z/
例:sides /sa dz/ (d是浊辅音,所以 -s 读 /z/)
例:ways /we z/ (y发元音,所以 -s 读 /z/)
3. 在 /s/, /z/, / /, /t /, /d / 等音后 → 读 / z/
例:classes / klɑ s z/ (/s/结尾,所以 -es 读 / z/)

(1)order 此处为动词,意为“点餐”,是餐厅场景的核心词。
(2)order 也可作名词,表示“订单,点餐内容”。

(3) order 作动词,还有“命令、要求”的意思。
