Reading Strategies Skimming and scanning
To read quickly, you can skip the details and just skim for the main idea; also, you can scan the text only for details to answer a question.
Skim the text and underline the main idea.
Basketball is a team sport. There are five players in each team. Players must pass the ball to the right teammates. When a team fails the match, the team players should cheer up each other. The best team players play for each other, not just with each other. Five great players may not always win a basketball game, but five players with one heart always do.

略读：主要用于快速阅读。略过某些不重要的信息，加快阅读速度并寻找某些特定信息的过程。要求读者有选择地进行阅读，可略过某些细节，理解文章的大意即可。

扫读：扫读是一种快速阅读技巧，是一种快速阅读文章以了解文章主要内容并获取文章大意或主要信息的阅读方法。在阅读文章时不是逐句理解，而是边看边抓住所读文章的关键信息。
略读和扫读相辅相成地构成了高效阅读的基石。当学生能够熟练交替运用这两种方法时，不仅能显著提升阅读速度，更能培养对文本信息的敏锐捕捉能力。
