The Olympic Games
奥林匹克运动会
The ancient Olympic Games took place in Olympia（奥林匹亚） in Greece every four years between 776 BC and 393 AD.
Then there was a gap(间断）of more than 2000 years before the Games began again in 1896.
In that year the first modern Olympic Games was held in Athens , the capital of Greece. About 280 athletes from 13 countries took part in the Games.

起初蓝、黄、黑、绿、红色,是代表当时国际奥委会成员国国旗的颜色。后成为五大洲的象征，其中蓝色代表欧洲，黄色代表亚洲，黑色代表非洲，绿色代表大洋洲，红色代表美洲。奥林五个圆环连接在一起，象征着世界五大洲的团结，欢聚一堂，以促进奥林匹克运动的发展，也体现了所有国家、所有民族的奥林匹克大家庭的主题。
