David: Welcome to Dogs’ World. I have four guests with me today
and they will talk about their dogs. What’s your dog’s name,
Officer White
Officer White: He’s called Billy.
David: What kind of work does Billy do
Officer White: He works at the airport. He smells people’s bags and
tries to find dangerous things.
David: Billy is keeping us safe! Jane, you have your pet dog Suzy
with you today. I heard that she did a great job last month.

Jane: Yes, Suzy is a retired search-and-rescue dog. I run a hotel in the
mountains. Last month two of my guests got lost in the heavy snow. Suzy
helped the rescue team find them.
David: What a clever dog! My dog only knows how to eat and sleep! Miss
Brown, your dog Winnie is very famous. She appears on TV very often.
Miss Brown: Yes, but she can’t act when she’s hungry or tired.
David: Just like me! I can’t work when I’m hungry or tired. Tom, you call
Bobby your eyes. Why is that
Tom: I’m blind, and Bobby helps me get around the city. Bobby’s a wonderful
dog!
David: That’s great! I would like to thank all of you for coming on the show!

Dogs are very special animals. They are very helpful, and some are even trained as service animals. These dogs work hard to assist people who need them. Many dogs are very smart. They can guard our house and keep it safe. It’s important for us to nurse (照顾) dogs well and give them lots of love. They allow us to be safe and happy.
