Have you ever imagined a robot that can learn like a human by touching, moving, and even interacting (互动)
with the world That’s Embodied Intelligence (具身智能)—a new AI technology that connects an AI “brain” with
a physical “body” to fit in (适应) with our real-life environments.
Unlike normal AI, embodied AI learns by practicing—like how a baby learns to walk by falling and trying
again. Sensors (传感器) are like robot “eyes” and “skin”, letting them see and hear things around them, while AI
models help them understand tasks. 5G and other technologies help information travel fast.
Embodied Intelligence isn’t just about solving math problems or chatting online. These smart machines can do
things! For example, in factories, they can carefully put car parts together with few mistakes. In medical world,
they can help doctors hold tools during operations. They can also help patients do exercises correctly to get better.
In the past, AI was stuck in (被困于) computers or phones. Now, with bodies, AI can interact with the
physical world, making robots smarter and more helpful. It’s pushing AI beyond screens into real-life tasks from
hospitals to space trips.
As our lives get better, we all want a super smart life with intelligent panies, on the other hand,
want to save money and work better. So, they really need smart ways to make things and offer services.
Universities are also coming up with great new research. All of them are working together to make Embodied
Intelligence even better.
19. Embodied Intelligence mainly learns by ________.
A. reading more books B. chatting online
C. practicing doing things D. searching information
20. How does the writer introduce the abilities of Embodied Intelligence in Paragraph 3
A. By telling stories. B. By showing opinions.
第 6页/共 16页
C. By listing numbers. D. By giving examples.
21. From the passage, the writer thinks the future of Embodied Intelligence is ________.
A. uncertain B. hopeful C. worrying D. difficult
22. What is the best title of the passage

Microplastics (微塑料) are very small. ____27____ A new study said that by 2040, microplastic pollution
could be twice as bad as it is now. Scientists learned this by looking at 20 years of studies on microplastics.
Microplastics are very small pieces of plastic. They come from many places. ____28____ Every time clothes
are washed, they shed (掉落) microplastics. When water bottles and other big plastic items (物品) are left outside,

According to National Geographic, microplastics are usually less than five millimeters in size. This small size
lets them go everywhere, even in water and air. They don’t break down easily and can stay in the environment for
hundreds of years.
____29____ In August, The Conversation reported that scientists found microplastics in people’s brains for
the first time. They may hurt brain cells (细胞) and change how the brain works.
Wild animals are also at risk (处于危险) from microplastic pollution. Each year, up to three million tons of
microplastics end up in the ocean. ____30____ To deal with the problem, scientists think the best solution right
now is to make and use less plastic.
A. This can be bad for our health.
B. So there are different forms of microplastics.

“Bamboo in the Rock” is a Chinese poem by a man named Zheng Xie, often called Zheng Banqiao. He was
born in 1693. Besides being a great artist and poet, Zheng was also a government worker during the Qing Dynasty.
He didn’t like the unfair things he saw in the government, so he started making art and writing poems about things
like bamboo, which were easy to understand but had deep meanings.
His poem shows that no matter what difficulties the bamboo faces, it keeps standing up straight. The bamboo
is a symbol of strength and determination (决心). Being strong and brave is its feature (特点). It doesn’t break
under pressure (压力) easily. In ancient times, Chinese poets really liked bamboo.
The poem is full of beautiful words about nature, but it’s also there to teach us something important. By facing
hard times, we can build our inner (内在的) strength, just like the strong bamboo.
Young people can learn a lot from this poem because it shows them the importance of staying strong and
determined, even when things get tough. The poem reminds teenagers that tests and difficulties can help them grow
even stronger. It is an inspiring message for them to remain brave during hard times and never give up, just like
bamboo standing tall among the challenges.
