Bobby Wilson is retired. But the Georgia farmer, “The Garden Man” named by his
community, used his retirement savings to buy and operate a nonprofit farm—the Metro
Atlanta Urban Farm. And he hasn’t slowed down since.
Inner Mongolia, China
If you’re not a fan of hot weather, the grasslands in Inner Mongolia is the place where
you can cool down in the summer heat. You will see cattle pass by and sheep wander freely
while horses run with their masters on the grassland. This destination is rich in all kinds of
natural resources from unique mountains formed by the volcanic eruption to forests and
lakes.
Years ago, Bobby Wilson saw a need for fighting hunger in his community. He worked
hard all his life, but when it came time to retire, he knew his job wasn’t over yet. So he
poured his time, money and energy into stepping up to fill that need and combat food
shortage. He dedicated his life to helping his community and to creating a healthier, more
sustainable world for his grandchildren.
Penang, Malaysia
Although it is mostly known for its mouthwatering street food and historical
significance, it’s also home to a theme park with the world’s longest tube slide, a butterfly
farm with over 15,000 butterflies, a colorful island with amazing sunsets, and a handful of
fun and unique museums where you can spend hours with your children.
Hanoi, Vietnam
Wilson is on a mission. He’s on several missions, actually. While working for the
University of Georgia for twenty years in gardening education, he saw a real need for
affordable, nutritious food in his under-served community in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
As food prices rise, the need has only increased. Families across the nation are feeling the
pinch. It’s getting harder and harder for people to afford nutritious food. According to U.S.
Hunger, one in ten households faces food insecurity. In Georgia, where Bobby Wilson lives,
the problem is even more terrible, with one in eight people facing hunger. So Bobby Wilson
is on a mission to help families in his disadvantaged neighborhood grow their own food on
small area of land using sustainable practices. At a time when thousands of households are
struggling to make ends meet, Wilson insists that people can save thousands of dollars if
they grow their own vegetables. And he has set up a teaching farm on five acres of land in
College Park, in the heart of the city, to show people how to do just that. Numerous
volunteers are educated on the agriculture industry, including how to best acquire land and
resources.
Your children will absolutely love exploring Hanoi with you. You will find plenty of
amazing street food, culture, and temples in this beautiful city. Take a few days to visit
Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of Vietnam’s most scenic regions.
Taking a sailing trip to Halong Bay with your children is the best way to see the bay.

Geneva and the University of Bern tested six advanced AI systems, including a popular
chatbot, using emotional intelligence tests designed for humans. The results were surprising:
These AIs performed better than the average human and even created new emotional
intelligence tests in a short time. This discovery suggests that AI can be useful in areas like
teaching, personal coaching, and resolving conflicts.
B. To prove traditional testing’s drawbacks.
C. To argue for AI’s overall advantage in studies.
D. To provide evidence for a scientific conclusion.
35. Which of the following is the best title for the text
A. A New Study Questions the Usefulness of AI
B. AI Advances into Human Emotional Intelligence
C. The Emotional Conflict Between AI and Humans
The study focused on how well AI could respond to emotionally charged scenes. For
example, one test presented a dilemma: What should Michael do after finding that a
colleague had stolen his project idea and later received public praise for it The options
included arguing with the colleague, talking to a manager, silently feeling upset, or taking a
similarly underhanded step in return. A proper answer was to talk to a manager. Researchers
compared the AI’s answers to those of human participants. On average, the AI scored 82%
correct answers, while humans achieved only 56%. This shows that AI not only understands
emotions but also knows how to act with emotional intelligence.

As they walked through the forest, they felt a sense of freedom and adventure they had
never experienced before Bob, always the curious one, suggested they follow a small stream
they found. The stream led them to a beautiful clearing( 空地) with a small waterfall.
At that moment, Jenny made a suggestion that they swim in the stream. Bob hesitated
for a second, but agreed at last. They took off their clothes and walked into the water in their
own secret paradise. They were so happy, lost in their world and when they realized they
swam too far, they seemed to get lost. In addition, it was getting dark, making the forest
seem even more scary. Being in panic, they didn't know what to do. Alex was about to cry.

Bob, trying to stay calm, remembered his father's advice about using nature as a guide. He
suggested they follow the stream upstream, as it might lead them back to where they had left
their clothes. With butterflies in their stomachs, they held each other' s hands and began their
journey back. The forest, then filled with strange sounds, made their every step feel like a test of
courage. What made them relieved was that after about an hour's walk, they saw their clothes. It
was then that a figure was approaching them with a flashlight shining.
Bob saw his father, who came to find them. Relieved and thrilled,he hugged his father tightly
with tears streaming down his face.To his astonishment, his father praised him for what he did
instead of scolding him. He also thanked his father for having told him some basic knowledge
about the wilderness. At that moment, Bob was floating in the ocean of happiness. It is an
unforgettable and valuable adventure making them aware that nothing is more important than
keeping calm and staying together when facing a tough situation.

M:Sure. But we'd better put on more clothes. Text 6
M:Why is Max looking at you with his eyes like that He looks sad.
W:⑦It's not because he's sad.He feels sorry because he's been behaving badly. When I went downstairs this morning, I found the fridge door open and the food all over the floor!
M:What happened
W:Max managed to open it and then made a big mess!
M:How do you know it was Max who did it
W:⑥I saw him lying in the middle of the kitchen and happily eating the beef I'd prepared for
today's lunch!I had to give up walking him this morning and went back to the market. Text 7
W:Hello, well, there's something I need to talk to you about.
M:Oh, yeah
W:⑧⑨I have an exam coming up and I'm studying, and...well, the problem is there's a lot of noise coming from your flat at night.
M:Oh, you mean last weekend
W:Yeah, well, kind of every night.I mean last weekend but also during weekdays.
M:Really I had a party with my friends on Saturday.
W:Yeah, the thing is, I can't study because of the noise.

M:What A marathon again Didn't you fall halfway last year And didn't you take a wrong turn the year before

M:I hope so.Do you have a partner for training

W: Oh, dad, it's a wallet.I found it in the parking lot near the shopping mall just now. There was nobody nearby, so I brought it home.It looks very pretty.
M: Yes, it's a really beautiful wallet. What's in it W: Oh, sixty dollars in cash.
M:Sixty dollars. What are you going to do with it
W:I don't know.Maybe I should try to find the person who lost it, but how can I find the owner
M:Check to see if you can find any information about the person who lost the wallet.
W:Ah, yes. There are some business cards with a man's name and telephone number on them.
M:Okay. You should call that man.He will be really glad to get his wallet back.
W:Yes, I'm sure he will.I will call him after dinner.
M:I think that man is probably very worried now. So you'd better call him right away. W: Okay, I will call him immediately.

We usually do our last project of the year about a cultural tradition, but I wanted to try something different this year. In the last class, I let you choose between a building of national
importance and the history of our town. Most students preferred the second one,so we're going
with that. I want you to join up with a partner of your choice to do the project.Let me know
who you're going to work with by the end of this lesson.About length—most of our projects
require about 1,000 words. I'm sure you'll have more to say about this one, so I'd like you to
write no fewer than 1,200 words.Just make sure you avoid going over 1,500 words. You can get
the information you need from the city library.Talking to your grandparents will also give you
first-hand knowledge. However, you shouldn't just copy something from the Internet. That's not
original research. We usually put up the finished projects in the classroom for parents to come and see.To make it more convenient, this year we'll put them on the school website instead.
