No matter how you do it, booking (预订) holidays can be a headache. It used to require a visit to a travel agent (代理人). Later, online travel agents appeared, allowing people to plan trips from the comfort of their own homes. With the help of AI, now they can easily deal with the brainwork, too. For example, Expedia has introduced Romie—“an AI-powered travel buddy”. And another company, , has brought out TripGenie.
Many people expect AI to free them from boring work. This may explain why AI trip planners are drawing attention. They’re perfect for those who go mad when booking holidays.
But are these AI booking agents reliable (可靠的) Some have tried them out. When a couple asked TripGenie to find a romantic (浪漫的) hotel in Paris, its top suggestion was to live near the airport. “Well, perhaps the AI agent is still in its early days,” they concluded.
Tools like TripGenie are facing competition from AI companies, too. OpenAI, for example, is testing its Operator. The AI bot is supposed to “mimic (模仿) a human’s use of the Web”. When asked about that Paris trip, it suggests places with a view of the Eiffel Tower. Some researchers think OpenAI might soon share the online travel agents’ market.

Could AI agents be fooled into booking a more expensive flight Would anyone feel safe giving his or her credit card information to an AI agent then
AI agents may also have difficulty understanding the differences in people’s tastes. Someone may think it’s not romantic to choose a metal tower at all. 21.What can be the best title of the passage
A.What Can AI Do for Us B.Is AI a Good Choice to Book Holidays
C.How Does AI Help People Book Holidays D.Why Is AI Popular with People Today

Mary began to like her life here. Every morning, she went outside after breakfast and spent most of the day in the grounds. The cold wind brought pink to her face. And she finished all of her food each evening. She was much healthier. After dinner, she liked sitting near the fire and talking to Martha.
“Why does Mr. Craven hate the locked garden ” Mary asked once.
“It was Mrs. Craven’s garden and she loved it. She looked after the flowers together with Mr. Craven. No gardeners were allowed in.”
“But what happened ” Mary asked.
“There was an old tree in the garden with a branch (树枝) like a seat. Mrs. Craven often sat there, reading and talking. One day, the branch broke and she fell down. She was badly hurt and died soon. Mr. Craven locked the garden and never talked about it.”
Mary seldom felt sorry for anyone, but now she understood how sad her uncle must be.
The wind roared (咆哮) around the house, and the doors and windows banged (砰砰作响). Mary listened, and through the noise she thought that she heard a child crying.
“Can you hear someone crying ” she asked Martha.
Martha seemed pretty nervous. “No,” she answered. “It’s only the wind or the servant who works in the kitchen. She’s got a toothache. Perhaps she’s crying. I’m going to check if she needs any help.” After the words, Martha left the room quickly.
When Martha left her alone, Mary decided to explore (探索) the house. She went quietly along corridors (走廊) and up and down stairs. In the silence of the house, she heard again the sound of a child crying. She stopped to listen at a door, but then another door opened and Mrs. Medlock came out. “What are you doing here ” she said, and she took Mary by the arm and pulled her away. “Get back to your room at once.”

Why We Need to Protect Butterflies
Butterflies are some of the most colorful and gentle creatures in nature. 26 They are not just beautiful to look at—they also play a key role in keeping our environment healthy.
Like bees, butterflies are important pollinators (传粉者). 27 As they feed on flower nectar (花蜜), pollen (花粉) sticks to their legs and bodies. When they fly to the next flower, this pollen helps plants make seeds and fruit. 28 Without butterflies, many of our favorite fruits and vegetables would not grow.
Butterflies also tell us a lot about the health of our planet. 29 If there are many butterflies in an area, it means the air and water are clean and there are plenty of plants for them to eat. When butterfly numbers drop, it is often a sign that the environment is in danger.
Sadly, butterfly populations are getting smaller every year. 30 We can plant native flowers in our gardens, avoid using harmful pesticides (杀虫剂), and create small butterfly-friendly spaces in our neighborhoods. Even small actions can make a big difference for these amazing insects.
A.Butterflies can live for up to one year in the wild.
B.Many people think they are just a pretty part of summer.
C.They are very sensitive to changes in their living places.
D.They carry pollen from one flower to another as they move.
E.There are things we can do to help them live and grow well.
F.This process is very important for the growth of many plants.
G.You can often see them flying from flower to flower on warm days.

As middle school students, we often face a lot of problems, especially in our relationships with classmates and friends. These problems can make us feel unhappy.
Understanding the problems
Many students feel nervous when they have to speak in front of the class. They worry about what others might think of them. Some students also have trouble making friends. They feel shy and don’t know how to start a conversation.
Another common problem is disagreement (分歧) with friends. Friends may have different opinions or interests, and they can cause arguments between friends. Sometimes, a small disagreement can turn into a big fight, and students may not know how to solve it.
Finding help to solve problems

When we face these problems, it’s important to find someone to talk to. Talking to a friend, a family member or a teacher can be very helpful. They can listen to our feelings and give us useful advice. My best friend and I had a big fight over a misunderstanding. I felt so sad. I talked to my teacher. With her help, we made up and became close again.——Jack

Who will you talk to when you meet problems
When we face these problems, it’s important to find someone to talk to. Talking to a friend, a family member or a teacher can be very helpful. They can listen to our feelings and give us useful advice. For example, if you feel nervous about speaking in class, your teacher might tell you to practice in front of a mirror or join a speaking club.
My best friend and I had a big fight over a misunderstanding. I felt so sad. I talked to my teacher. With her help, we made up and became close again.——Jack
