Tibetan opera is an art form that mixes folk songs, dance, storytelling and more. Records show that it dates back to the 14th century, making it at least 400 years 1 older (old) than Peking opera.
In 2009, Tibetan opera was included on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list (教科文组织非遗名录). It is usually 2 performs (perform) during Tibetan festivals, such as Tibetan New Year and the Shoton Festival.
