At the age of six, I succeeded in making my first drawing-a boa constrictor(蟒蛇)digesting an elephant. But when the grown-ups saw it, they answered, "Why should anyone be frightened by hat "Then I drew the inside of it, so that the grown-ups could see it clearly.
This time, they advise me to lay aside my drawings, and devote myself instead to geography, history, arithmetic and grammar. That is why I gave up what might have been a magnificent career as a painter. I had lost heart and confidence after the failure of my drawings. Grown-ups never understand anything by themselves, and it is tiresome for children to always and forever explain things to them.
So then I chose another profession, and learned to pilot aeroplanes(驾驶飞机). I have flown a little over all parts of the world. It is true that geography has been very useful to me. At a glance I can distinguish(区分)China from Arizona. If one gets lost in the night, such knowledge is valuable.
In my life I have had many encounters with a great many people who have been concerned with matters of consequence. Whenever I met one of them who seemed to me at all clear-sighted, I tried showing him my drawings, to find out if this was a person of true understanding. But, whoever it was, they would always say, "That is a hat."
Then I would never talk to that person about boa constrictors, primeval forests or stars. I would bring myself down to his level and talk about bridge, golf, politics and neckties. And he would be greatly pleased to have met such a sensible(明智的)man.
- Adapted from The Little Prince

① As we all know, people work together. Each person does his or her part to make the world better. A society needs many different kinds of workers in order to work well. Similar to humans, animals also need to work together to live better. In fact, nature gives most animals a social talent that serves a number of purposes.
② Many lions work together in groups. The females(雌性动物)need to search for food. Lions work in teams to catch other animals. They watch the animal in a circle and stop it from running away. Wolves also work in teams. They have a strong social order. They follow a leader and follow rules for the good of the group.
③ The members of bee communities have special jobs. A queen bee, worker bees and other bees live in a beehive(蜂巢). The worker bees serve the queen so the queen can lay eggs. If the queen doesn’t lay enough eggs, the busy beehive would soon be empty. In bee communities. females take on the job of protecting the beehive.
④ Cows and birds often eat together to help one another. The birds eat the insects on the back of cows. And in return, the birds make a lot of warning noises. They will fly away if they find danger. Crocodiles(鳄鱼)and birds called plovers(够鸟)help each other in the same way. Crocodiles have very sharp teeth. After they eat, the tiny and harmful animals usually remain on their teeth. The plover will pick the animals out of a crocodile’s teeth. This provides food for itself and helps clean the crocodile's teeth.

Is there water in craters(坑)on the moon How can we know about it Now a snake-like robot COBRA, the Crater Observing Bio-inspired Rolling Articulator, has been made by a group of college students to search water in dark areas of the moon.
COBRA is special for its shape with 13 mini-bots. In fact, people have already made similar robots, but this robot is more interesting. It's flexible(灵活的)and it can change its own shape when necessary. What's more, it's pretty pared with other robots weighing 200 pounds, the robot has a weight of about 20 pounds, or 9 kilograms. Because of its light body, it costs less money to send the robot to the moon.
How does COBRA work in practice It can move in three ways in different conditions thanks to its flexibility. In its wave-like shape, this robot can move like waves across the soil and sand to search water. It can also turn into a spiral(螺旋式的)shape to move out of narrow places easily. For long and steep(陡峭的)hills, like lunar craters, it connects its head with its tail to form a circle, which can help it go down hills in a smoother way. In fact, the wheel-shape design allows gravity(重力)to do most of the work on the way down to the base of the craters. At the same time, it also saves most of the robot's energy for the way back.
To make further improvement, scientists are working hard to increase the sensitivity of COBRA to help it find the moon's frozen water more exactly. By adding radars(雷达) and infrared (红外线的) cameras, the robot will be given some sense of the environment around it and then be better at controlling itself.
There are more facts about COBRA for you to know. With its creative features, COBRA is believed to play an important part in the lunar mission in the near future.

Travelling is one of my hobbies. As for me, it is like opening a new book with pages filled with pictures, words, and stories. I have been lucky to experience this joy through my travels. I want to share my travel experiences, which were both fun and educational, in a way that is easy for everyone to understand.
Planning is very important before any trip. I remember sitting with my family and deciding where to go. We looked at maps, read about places on the internet, and talked about what we wanted to see. We chose a place with mountains and beaches. Then, we made a list of things to take with us, like clothes, snacks, and a camera to keep sweet memories for us.
When we reached our destination, I couldn't believe my eyes. The mountains were tall and covered with green trees, and the sea was a beautiful blue. Every place we visited had its own story and people who lived there, and I learned a lot just by looking around and talking to them. It was exciting for me to see so many new sights. Moreover, I tasted new fruits that grew in the mountains and ate seafood that was caught in the sea that same day. Some foods were strange at first, but I found that it was fun to try new things.
