A Wonderful Trip
I went to Wuhan last weekend. I visited some places of interest and tasted many local foods there.
The Yangtze River Bridge was the first place I visited. The view around there was fantastic, especially the light show at night. I was very excited when I first saw the light show. I took lots of pictures and short videos of it.
I also visited the Yellow Crane Tower (黄鹤楼). The tower was popular because many famous ancient poems were written in praise of it. The Yellow Crane Tower was destroyed several times in the past. The tower we can see today was rebuilt in 1981.
Then I went to the Hubei Provincial Museum. There were many valuable collections on show in the museum. Among them, the Zenghouyi Chime Bells (曾侯乙编钟) are the most famous. They are ancient Chinese heavy musical instruments with a long history. The instruments are the biggest in the world. After the visit, I tasted reganmian, a popular local food in Wuhan. It tasted delicious.

Hippos (河马) are one of the world’s largest animals. They have huge bodies and mouths, but small eyes and ears. This always makes hippos look funny and cute.
Hippos like to live in the river. These animals cannot swim or breathe under the water. But they can walk or run under the water. Their skin can easily burn or dry out in the sun. So hippos spend most of their time in the water to protect their skin.
Hippos play an important role in nature. They can keep silicon (硅), which is good for plants and animals, moving in the environment. Each day, hippos eat plants that are rich in silicon.
